Absolultley right! Plus it would impact your fertility. If you don't stay married to this woman, you don't want to limit yourself in future relationships.

I think so as well. kristoff and Wolf-Pup say it absolutley correct! In your case i would never think about a castration, no matter a chemical or real one. If your wife after the very short time of 3 years doesn't want to have any more sex with you that has nothing to do with you. It seems that she has an other man or another girl or she is a natural lebian and only wanted to try it out with a man like you. It will not take a long time between you and her, i promise you! Even if you will catrate yourself.

I have been on Androcur for over a year and yes it has done what I want to my sex drive, totally non existent, however there are all the other things that go with it, I experience extreme fatigue, I sweat at very odd and sometimes inappropriate times, I am cold a lot of the time even when its warm, I have a dry cough, I still get night time sweats and chills, I haven’t the energy to exercise causing me to put on weight, I am yet to experience the so called eunuch calm, for me I have mood swings I get annoyed very easily and I now prefer my own company, So remember they do a lot more than just curb your sex drive , you have to like me live with the side effects of the drug good and bad.

Quick update: We met with the therapist tonight. She asked a ton of questions about our relationship and why we were looking into chemical castration. She agreed to oversee a six month trial with Depo Provera, and suggested that if I like the effects I should consider surgical castration at that point, as there are fewer side effects. Not sure I am ready to lose my testicles physically, but shutting them down chemically for six months seems like a good place to start. We are making an appointment with the clinic tommorow where I will get my first shot.

Yesterday my wife took me to the clinic where I got my first depo provera shot. It didn't hurt that much, just a little sore afterwords. I come back for another in two weeks and once a month after that. Everyone at the clinic was very nice and helpful they didn't even ask why I was getting the shot. I don't feel anything yet, I am told i may get an effect in about a week. i hope it kicks n soon as my package is still standing up and demanding attention, and sleeping next to my wife is torture. We were told I will have the testosterone level of a nine year old boy, basically what I had before puberty. My wife likes this idea and also is looking forward to getting off birth control herself. Ironically she was on depo herself. Guess its daddy's turn.

My wife's therapist called us today and asked how things are going. I told her things are going ok and we are looking forward to the depo provera kicking in. She is urging me to consider physical castration at six months as it will be easier on my body than depo ... She knows a urolo that will perform "bilateral orchiectomy" with a therapists letter. My wife agrees it may be better to go the surgical route. I agreed I will meet with the urologist to discuss possible surgery. The therapist says the proceedure is no big deal and she has several clients that have elected for the operation. She says I am pretty young to get the surgery but that her other clients were happy they had done it. I have a lot to think about, it seems like life will be less complicated with castration.

WTF?! This therapist is odd, they usually try reversible measures first. And Provera is not really tough on your body. Most importantly, if you get nasty side-effects like breast development, these should be reversible, which is not the case with physical castration (unless you're going to be on HRT).

It will all end with him nutless, his wife miraculously realizing she was a lesbian all along and has an affair with the Therapist and others who come along. The husband won't take TRT because that would make horny like when he still had them. Unless they talk him into E instead....yada yada...

The WIFE supposedly has a problem, so naturally give up quickly on trying to make her right again. Then look at unneeded surgery on the husband. Let him worry about any future relationships when the marriage ends because she wants a real stud or a woman. This whole subject smells worse than a landfill full of litterboxes. Fatigue, less muscles, some boob growth, less energy, osteoperosis...

No counselor in their RIGHT mind would go along with this total BS, and have a buddy that happily performs them.

Someone's getting played, and I generally think its us who are wasting any time on her reading a posting to this person.

First, thanks for all your concern. No need to worry, my comments are very real. My wife's therapist is very experienced in this sort of situation, and she has been a huge help. Today we went to the clinic for my second shot of depo. The first shot seems to be really "kicking in" as I haven't been getting any erections in the morning, or during the day, nor have I felt the urge to masterbate. My package seems the same, but my balls seem to ache a little and seem a little higher up towards my body. It is kinda strange not getting erections all the time or even feeling the urge to masterbate. I am not sure I want this permanently but we have been advised to stick with this for at least six months so we can make the right decision. I am told the psychological need for sex will fade once the equipment is properly shut down.
