I wonder what the eneger translates to. On investigation, nothing unless you drop the "e", then you have the German word for a dark person. " black, darkey, black person; (Anthropology) African-American; member of a Black or dark-skinned African race".

So Arnold's last name in German invokes darkness twice and on many levels.

Maybe the family name has to do with a black morality running in the blood; like pandering to a book sale on others' privacy and dignity.

I am suprised that no one in all this attention about Arnold has brought up the persistant rumors about his being a rent boy during his Muscle Beach days. There seems to be no question that he was supported in his career as a muscle man contestant by rich fags in return for being decorative at their parties. There is considerable dispute on whether it went any further. AARP for years provided our feeding program with free dishwashers in a joint job training program for seniors. One was an older gay man who claimed to have been a part of the gay scene there in those days. He claimed that Arnold, though claiming straighthood, was willing to let rich gay guys suck his dick for money.

There is no eneger His name is Schwarzenegger. And der Neger is the same thing as der Schwarze

Keep in mind sometimes German names reflect the regional dialect and not Hochdeutsch.

Why was his families name, double black, or black + to blacken?

Did his fore bearer have a habit of doing bad things?

Or something more benign like blackening leather.

I have asked myself the same question, this person I knew had a grandfather from Germany, there name was Zwanzig. Now if you know German you know this is the word for Twenty, my guess it was something different in Germany.

So Moi, don't put so much faith in names, it may have been important several hundred years ago but today it is meaningless.

I suspect there is some meaning behind Scwarzenegger that has to do with blacksmith, lamp black, chimney sweep, or some such trade that dealt in all forms of carbon black.

Now as to Arnold...the man's an adulterer, serial style, a grand liar about all sorts fo things, and a consummate politician in it for himself. He promised to balance a budget and left a bigger debt.
