The only reason that they were castrated was Atrophy of the testicles, from excess androgens from steroid cycles. As they are using steroids their sex drive is not eliminated and if they stop their muscle mass will decrease quickly, not good for bodybuilders!

That would be me. I was 6.5ft, 240 in high school. Got cut about 20 years ago, and am still pretty big. Down to 6' 2" and 220. Also I bench press only about 200 as to almost 400 before I was gelded. But I'm also 20 years older (60+). I was naturally big as a young man. Since getting cut, I've had to work at it.

Now, if the question were does anyone know a gelded man who went from 90 pound weakling to NFL linebacker after getting cut? To that, I'd have to say no. Possible I guess, but would require super human dedication.

Gil,

Thanks for responding. Your input is appreciated. Is some of the height loss to aging or what?

Thanks, Dave

Due to loss of bone density after castration, if castrated you can expect to shrink in height a bit more than the average person.

Some of it does come with age, as well. I have good bone density and I am 1,5 inches shorter now than when I was 20. Disc compression...

I can second that. I also have good bone density for my age, but have lost 2.5 inches in height, having gone from 71 in., for most of my adult life, to 68.5 inches .

Would it be same result if on total testosterone replacement?
