Sorry about coming back to old threads but MGM-HD channel showed The Abominable Dr Phibes again and I realized that some of the jazz organ requires a Leslie Speaker. No pipe organ ever used a Leslie. The sound of a Leslie at full spin (it's a long explanation) only approximates a stop on a pipe organ and is very, very characteristic of organs in the 1950's, 60's, and later.

Anachronistic, but still lots of wildly crazy fun in the movie.
