I'm going to miss Bobover's old Avatar, sort of a she-male (I know it's unPC, but that was no transsexual icon, that was difinatly a SheMale) update of antique Japanese pillow book drawings. Similar perspective and humor.

I do hope you will retain "Nuke a Gay Baby Whale for Jesus". It always brightens my day.

All good wishes
I'm curious; I understand the line was originally a bumper sticker. Is it from a longer piece? At a demonstration once (Fred Phelps perhaps?) I heard the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence singing, to the tune of "On Wisconsin" "Nuke a gay whale for Jesus / Stomp on a Queer for the Lord / Kill a commie for Christ's sake / Remember that assholes are God's chosen race." Wondered if

(Horsemeat is also best thinly sliced and raw with grated ginger, though I had some nice roasts when I was a graduate student and horse was far cheaper than beef. The Japanese for raw horsemeat is "sakura-niku," which translates as
'cherry blossom meat.' It does have a faint floral odor.)

While in grad school in Portland I lived on horsemeat. Wonderful stuff. If I could get it I would eat in preference to most beef, My friends wondered how I ate rib steaks and eggs for breakfast and Fillet roast for dinner on a starving grad school budget. Rich meaty flavor but much leaner than beef. Had to bard the meat, poke long holes in the roast and poke bacon strips and garlic cloves into the holes and drape the roast with strips of bacon to lubricate the meat. I was devistated when they banned the slaughter of horses for meat in the US.

Just curious- I used to have a avatar that I guess would fit the inappropriate avatar criteria, but I did not remove it. Are the moderaterators removing them or requesting the the individual members remove them? Mine was there 1 day and gone the next so was just wondering.

Perhaps we should move one part of EA to dark internet like onionland at Tor network or I2P network? No selfcensorship or restrictions there. TheFraj knows more about that as he himself has written an article about it.

I2P - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I2P

Tor - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(anonymity_network)

The line "Nuke a Gay Baby Whale for Jesus" was retrieved from a bumper sticker on a junky VW rabbit. I suspect it was covering a bad rust patch. It is good to know what the other sisters were singing. I'll adopt it in full for future use. It will stay.

Aside from a number of remarks over offensiveness about select avatars, many people have commented about the fact that they frequently inhabit the Archive while at work. We want to accomodate the need to not worry as much about pics being seen. OTOH, if you are viewing the personals at work, do so at your own risk; and remember, many companies review internet useage. A big reason we are extending this beyond our past practices, we have been inviting a lot of academics to read and research us. Many were met and reached out to at the WPATH conference held in Atlanta recently, where we drew quite a crowd to our panel on M-to-E and BIID. We want to draw in and keep these people in our camp, since many of them can influence the acceptance of M2E and BIID, recommending surgeries, etc. We're still working with a number of them to get eunuchism specifically mentioned in the supplements and indexes of the SOC 7.0. So there you have it.

BTW, I really like A-1's new avatar. Very creative.

Yes, at least one MiG. The photo was taken at Monino Air Force museum, near Moscow.

That's very very cool. I'm now trying to find out what MiG it is. You got a clearer or bigger version of that picture?

I got on wikimapia and identified both of them:

The left one:

MiG-17 (http://wikimapia.org/14023197/ru/%D0%A4 ... B2%D0%BE%D 0%B9-%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B1%D0%B8%D1%82%D 0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C-%D0%9C%D0%B8%D0%93-17).

The right one:

MiG-15UTI, two seat trainer (http://wikimapia.org/14023181/ru/%D0%A3 ... BE%D0%B2%D 0%BE%D1%87%D0%BD%D1%8B%D0%B9-%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B1%D0%B8%D1%82%D 0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C-%D0%9C%D0%B8%D0%93-15%D0%A3%D0%A2%D0%98).

Photo lies somewhere in the depths of my hard disk drive, if you still need it, I can find it.
