I haven't run across any of these yet in the old non-parsed section.
These are the ones that used to come up on blue backgrounds, etc., with text ALL OVER the place.
They are the hardest to edit, yet some of the oldest stories on the Archive.
And they're extremely time consuming, too - but worth it for some of the gems we've uncovered.

What exactly is the reason the stories have disappeared?
Long story. Refer to the "Reigning in the Controversy" thread for details:

Already done. Check the new Story Archive. It is there.
If you mean Elayah, then it is coming in the very next update.

I like almost all the things Farrell Squire wrote, but they are all a bit long by EA fiction story standards. I know that the longer stories must be very tedious and time consuming to edit, but I really hope that all of the good works are resurected, some of them are actually very educational and interesting, "Treating Satyrisis In Tsarist Russia" for example, a little bit lengthy but worth the time to read it. And there is a title I cannot recall but I absolutely loved the one about the buffoonish German Barron who loved to fuck other men's wives and goad the cuckolded husband into challenging the Barron to a duel... I don't want to "spoil" that story for anyone who has not read it yet, but even though I cannot recall the title, I really would like to read that story again.
Most everyone loved "The Christmas That Never Was." No surprise that it was one of the first ones put up on the new story archives.
Finally I really liked the short story "Virtual Reality" by "SSindy Smith." It was short, shallow to many other readers here I suppose, but it was imaginative and just downright good to read.
I seriously do believe that you could make a bit of money by publishing in book form a collection of the better stories from the EA, honestly, a LOT of the stories here are actually damn good reading. Admittedly, some of it is just mindless fuck-fest junk, what I call "horney guy bullshit for someone to jack off over," but there are certainly some stories in the EA that many people, even ones who do not have a castration fetish, would enjoy reading.... "The Girl In The Black Bikini" for example.

They have to be edited to conform to the new story software or they end up with character sets instead of quotes, asterisks, and other symbols.
Do you need to convert the story from html to text? I use a text editor, notetab
http://www.notetab.com
It can automatically convert html into text. I use a very old paid version (4.95). The current free version can strip html tags.

No software is needed. The story editor handles everything. It's just a matter of having someone go through each story line by line.
