Were I an 'eye for an eye' kind of person, I would want to see her go through female circumcision and infibulation while awake and conscious as a fitting punishment for what she's done. Since that's not likely to happen, I would at least hope she'll go to jail for a long, long time. Sadly, I don't think either will happen, and she'll find some way to get off mostly scot free.

(I also find it depressing that while if he had done the equivalent to her (while conscious, with similar set up and justification), he'd likely get 5-20 years, while I'd be willing to bet good money she'll be out with 'time served' once all is said and done, assuming it even gets that far.)

Unfortunately, or fortunately, what you suggest falls under the "cruel and unusual punishment" clause.

It seems fairly clear that this is a case in which premeditation is involved. I don't see the defense being able to prove otherwise. As well, this is still a pretty conservative county. On top of that, if she lands in front of one of the few judges in the "good ol' boys" club (you know, the guys that still think one must have a dick to practice law and a guys cock defines him) she'll most likely find the book tossed at her. Any other judge, (provided she doesn't have any priors) she's probably looking at a few years in actual prison, then several years of parole with the condition she seek help with her anger issues.

On another note, I wonder if she hires out? 😄

the use of the garbage disposal reminds me of the scene in the movie "Hard Candy" where the actress puts the testicles down the garbage disposal and makes some remark like "lets see what kind of sound these make".

How cum Ariana reported the guy said, "I deserved it"?

What was he acknowledging to himself if not legally?

Maybe Gloria Allred will cum down and volunteer as her defense attorney.

Lots of story yet to be told.

I think they have it wrong. The woman said "he deserved it" when the police arrived. The guy hasn't spoken to media.

Whether he deserved it or not, he's missing his penis or most of it. I would guess she cut it off at the base, not leaving much of a stump. The urologist probably did a perineal urethrostomy, relocating his piss hole so that he could urinate easily without messing himself. He's probably receiving some counseling, but how do you counsel a man who lost his penis? That's tough unless you wanted it gone. I think he's in for a tough road, especially if he was seeing another woman. Sure he can satisfy her in other ways, but she might want a real penis too.

I do not believe Ariana would post wrong information about a penectomy. Maybe Rubert would but now sweet Ariana of Greece.

The quote was attributed to a police person who claimed the victim said it.

Maybe she is Thai where criminal penectomy is more common?

Maybe we need to be more culturally tolerant?

Maybe we need the un-abbreviated story. The whole story.

By that logic, we need to be 'more culturally tolerant' and allow honor killings.

Just heard he is out of the hospital. She is in jail with a million dollar bail and could face life imprisonment.

Was the law in California changed since Larry Singleton raped and chopped off the young lady's arms, then left her for dead. He served his time and was released. Are two arms worth less then one dick?

Some details of ropes and the kitchen knife. Also, they attribute the "deserved it" comment to her and not him. Waiting to hear from Ariana again.

New info on the court proceedings. She faces a couple more charges "great bodily injury", and "personal use of a deadly weapon". Bail has been set, and judge will (yay) allow cameras in the courtroom. Proceedings are to be continued in September, as her lawyer needs a couple months to prepare:

also set bail at $1 million for Becker, 4
8, who had been held without bail since her arrest this month. She is charged with torture and aggravated mayhem.

The judge also rejected her attorney's request to bar cameras from the courtroom. Orange County Deputy Public Defender Frank Bittar unsuccessfully argued that the intense media coverage would jeopardize Becker's ability to get a fair trial.

Bittar also argued that the media coverage could lead to threats against Becker while in jail, but the judge said authorities aren't aware of any such threats.

When she entered the courtroom inside a defendants' cage, Becker draped her long black hair over her face to hide from cameras. She was shackled and dressed in a blue jumpsuit.

Though authorities said she speaks English, a translator spoke to her in Vietnamese during the court proceedings.

"At this stage in the proceeding, I believe what we have before me is a citizen accused and not someone presumed guilty," the judge told the defense in ruling against the camera ban request. She added: "There are no threats we're aware of."

After the hearing, Bittar declined to comment the day's events other than to say: "There's a lot more to the case than meets the eye."

The Vietnam-born Becker, who is also known as Que Anh Tran, is also facing special allegations, or sentencing enhancements,

prosecutors said.

An initial police investigation alleged that Becker, of Garden Grove, California, put a drug or poison in her 60-year-old husband's dinner on July 11 to make him sleepy.

Senior Deputy District Attorney John Christl said a toxicology inquiry looking into the alleged drugging should be completed in two to three weeks.

"I'd be speculating as to what the toxicology might show and what drug if any" may be involved, Christl told reporters after the hearing.

The defense sought the delay in the arraignment because Becker's attorney is new to the case and needs time to review police reports with his clients, Christl said.

Becker told authorities her husband "deserved it" when officers arrived at the scene after she called 911, the police report says.

The couple married in December 2009, but separated in April. The husband filed for divorce on May 16 in Orange County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to the divorce papers.

They have no children, and their only shared assets are a condominium and a 2010 Toyota Prius, court papers said.

He is listed as president of a fabric and design firm whose address is the same as his residence, court papers show. She recently submitted a license application to become a real estate agent, Christl said.

On the night of July 11, Becker and her husband argued about friends staying at their Garden Grove residence, prosecutors said in a news release.

Becker served her husband dinner, and after feeling tired at about 9 p.m., he went to bed, authorities said.

Becker then tied her husband's legs and arms to the four corners of the bed

Becker then took the penis to the kitchen,

and turned it on, "mutilating the organ," the prosecutors' statement said.

The husband underwent emergency surgery at UC Irvine Medical Center, authorities said. He has since returned home, but prosecutors weren't commenting on the husband's condition out of respect for his privacy.

The Orange County case has been widely compared to the1993 attack against John Wayne Bobbitt by his then-wife, Lorena, who cut off his penis with an 8-inch carving knife while he slept.

Lorena Bobbitt then drove away, tossing the penis out her car window. The penis was eventually found and surgically reattached.

Lorena Bobbitt was later found innocent by reason of insanity. During her testimony, she tearfully described her life at the hands of her abusive husband.

In a separate trial, John Wayne Bobbitt was acquitted of sexually assaulting his wife. He later made appearances on "The Howard Stern Show." He also made a number of adult films.
