Probably not. It's been too long. I'd have to re-read it to find out what was happening. I guess I'm guilty along with others of not finishing stories.

Sander has submitted an excerpt from his continuation of Freedom. It's only a small snippet of what appears to be a very long story, and contains some spoilers, if you plan to read the whole story. I don't know when he'll post it, though. I think this snippet will stand on its own, whether or not he posts the rest.

This story looked fine in the story editor, but it has picked up some weird characters. Possible IEunuch can figure out what's wrong with it. I thought I had if fixed once, but it came back with even stranger characters in it.

I have line by line corrected the formatting of this story, but I had it looking good before. I don't know it's not going to mess up again. The story submission software is acting flaky.

How many words are there in the long version? (I think all good text editors and word processors can count the words in a file.)

I've read about 95 pages, and it's not finished. I would guess it will be, at least, 150 pages long. It will be posted in sections. That's too long to post at once.

The story I am working on now is 3,050 words long which is almost six full pages. That works out to about 500 words per page. The number of words per page can vary depending on the font size, margins, line spacing and the number of blank lines. Is 500 words per page about average?

90 pages so far, 23,180 words I'm told; comes out to about 258 words a page.

Definitely an intriguing little story! Sander's Freedom captivates right from the start with a high level of character interaction and conflict...quite an interesting read.

The only thing that seemed a bit unusual was the seemingly snap decision over Kim's castration. It's kind of like...."well, we've all just figured out that we agree so let's slice and dice between dinner and dessert! We won't even miss the 9 o'clock movie!"

As for the "main event", it's brutal but definitely within the context of the story...and the lowlife Roger probably intended for it to be hurtful. You'd think they'd have at least given Kim a whiff of opium! Selfish bastards!

Yep, the "full" version should be awesome...and I might even peek at the snippet.

I am uneasy about the way this story is going. At the end of "Freedom" Kim becomes a boy-eunuch. So far so good - but in the continuation, where Slammr has identified some weird characters, Kim himself has become a weirdo, pumped full of female hormones and developing female characteristics.

I wrote a long time ago "Prefer the familiar to the exotic". A plot which is riveting if it takes place in 2011 in New York City becomes a bore if set in 4011 on the planet Zeon.

Lastly the new story seems more focused on anal sex than on castration.
