I'd wish that people writing in non-English languages (such as myself) translate their stories (or at least, their favourite ones) themselves to let people who don't speak those languages enjoy them. Or he finds someone who does that for him. Translation can be just as satisfying as writing an original. (Translators are asked to respect the authorship of the original and mention the original author. That's the least one should do. Asking for permission is another. It might be a copyright violation to translate without permission.)
