This is a response to something Allison said about it being easier for a female to have things removed than a male.

Not to be rude, at any costs, but it's not that easy. My mother suffered for over thirty years with a defective uterus and the docs wouldn't let her have it out, because she only had one kid. Finally, 7 years back, she had it done. I, myself, cannot have anything done, not even my tubes tied until I have at least two children. Doctors tell me this all the time, but that's life. 😠 😡

But someone like my father who has one kid can just go down to the doc and get a vasectomy, hardly any questions asked..that's a load of poo, man..j/k. 🚬

I wonder if it's just a matter of finding the right doctor, actually.

Take castration, for example. Most doctors will not remove a man's perfectly healthy testicles just because he dislikes his excessive sex drive. But according to Anne Lawrence's M2F TG FAQ (http://www.annelawrence.com/faqs2.html#castration): "However, in many major cities there will be someone who will perform castrations with few if any questions asked. Such practitioners are usually best located through local inquiries. One notable exception is Dr. Felix Spector, who maintains a fearless web presence."

Perhaps the same thing applies for removing a defective uterus in a young woman who has had only one child: While it may be that most gynecologists won't do it, if one searches around, one may find an agreeable doctor.

It is indeed, but that is the case. I first tried to get a vasectomy at age 27 whilst in the US Navy. I had no children, I was not married. The Navy said NO or just dragged their feet.

In the year 1973, I left the Navy, moved to Los Angeles, contacted Family Planning, and got A $100 vasectomy with minimal questions, after I convinced them that I knew what I was doing, even if an unmarried man with no children.

this first for Nocturnal - if you wish to have your tubes tied, why not check the doctors out here in Wichita, Kansas? They dont tell a woman she needs to have 2 or 1 kid before doing it; as the choice is between you and what ever god you worship.

Unfortunately, I have a desire to lose everything, becoming an eunuch, and have not the resources to have this done, mainly since the VA wont do "cosmetic" surgey, which is what they label this as being. Course, if my male parts became so damaged as to threaten my life, then they would do so, just to save my life......but that is such a huge amount of pain, that I fear I would simply go into catonic shock if that were to happen.

BTW - is there such a tool as the Burdizzo tool?If so, anyone have one to use on my nuts?

DerangedDragon,

Thanx for the support and telling me where I might get it done. And as to what you want, I say go for it, if it bothers you. If I was a cutter, I'd do it for free..seriously. I know what it's like to have defective or annoying repros!

I am really amazed at how many men claim to want castration, penectomy, nullification or SRS. It appears that more women than men are satisfied with what they have. That really kills the Penis Envy theory.

I wonder if it's possible for a non-medical professional to accomplish female sterilization.

Some time back, I read about a procedure called "endometrial ablation", which involves burning off the lining of the uterus. It is used for women whose menstrual flow is causing them excessive discomfort.

The principle is simple: Pump very hot water into the uterus. (They have safeguards to make sure that the exact correct amount is pumped in so that it doesn't overflow into the fallopian tubes, and they take care such that the water doesn't get out of the cerfix either.) This will permanently damage the lining and cause it to shed. In some percentage of women (studies disagree about the exact percentage; it averages around 50%), this will stop menstruation completely.

Of the women who still menstruate, their period is usually permanently reduced.

(Women who have this procedure done are also given a tubal ligation, because there's still a chance of pregnancy occuring in some cases, but if it did occur it would be a risk to her health.)

I wonder if a "cutter" type person can do this.

I once overheard the conversation of a woman talking with another woman. She was talking about how her daughter hated her breasts, because they were overly large and caused her pain and embarassment with peers. Her daughter wanted a breast reduction, but she said she wouldn't allow it until age 18.

Personally, I'm mentally androgynous. Being physically male, I dislike spontaneous erections, nocturnal emissions, excessive sex drive, and the way my genitals get in the way when I try to cross my legs. I might see about going to Thailand some day to get nullified, although I'm not sure because of the risks of surgery, costs (maybe $5000), and needing HRT afterwards.

If I was in a woman's body, I would dislike the inconvenience and discomfort associated with menstruation, the possibility of getting pregnant, and having breasts (unless they were small). I wouldn't mind my genitalia though, since they don't get in the way (unless I had overly large labia lips or something).

My feelings are similar to yours.

(1) The female genitalia are not conspicuous and inconvenient like the male genitalia. They do not embarrass you by rising up at inconvenient times or cause you pain when pinched between the legs or bumped. They also do not produce uncontrollable sexual urges.

(2) Menstruation and getting pregnant are definate disadvantages of being female. However, doctors are more willing to correct those on demand. It is fairly easy for a woman to get a hysterectomy to eliminate both problems. Even married women can get an abortion or hysterectomy without their husband's consent. (note - A married man must have his wife's consent even for a vasectomy.)

(3) Breasts are even ok if they are no bigger than "B" or possibly "C". I can't understand why some women would want bigger ones. (Just like a penis - the bigger they are, the more obnoxious they become.)
