Re: Weather - Whats goin on
With the exception of a few days, California has been downright cold for the summer this year. July was the only "hot month" so far. Right now it's in the 80's and normally this time of year in the central valley it is near 100 degrees each day.
Sad when the water in my pool is warmer than the air outside...

Look at the weather histories.. There have been periods of year of warm trends and persons of year of cold trends.. Weather follows patterns over and over again.. Go to the nations weather service and look at the history for yourself.

I must agree with Riverwind. global warming is a myth alright, in fact it is a multi billion dollar industry. People should worry more about the next ice age.
If they think we little humans can manipulate atmospheric temperature, they must feel very important.
We are experiencing normal global precession.

You missed my sarcasm, you would need to be a fool not to see that something is going on that is not right. We are in a global warming trend, the question is only this, will man have enough sense to survive?
Who knows it may already be way to late to do anything about it. With the planet able to feed about a billion people and the earth has over 7 billion, now as I see it there are only a couple ways for this to correct its self.
Remember man can't kill the earth, the earth however can kill off man and start all over again, its happened in the past, it can happen again.

This is a thermal anomaly map for Russia.
Has anyone seen something similar for the whole globe?

Las Vegas:

Aug. 07, 2010
Las Vegas Review-Journal
Streak of 100-degree heat ends at 45 days in Las Vegas Valley
By ANTONIO PLANAS
Much to the dismay of antiperspirant merchants, but to the relief of everybody else, the streak is over.
Saturday's high temperature, recorded at McCarran International Airport, the valley's official weather station, reached only 99 degrees. That means the end of a 45-day streak of 100-degree or higher temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
Weather service Meteorologist John Adair said the streak was the third-longest in the recorded history of the Las Vegas Valley. The record for most consecutive days in which temperatures soared to at least 100 degrees stands at 66 days, from June 27 through Aug. 31, 1944, he said.
Today's high is forecast to reach 98 degrees, with a low of 77. Adair said the cooler temperatures are the result of a low-pressure system from the West Coast. Monday's forecast is for a high of 103.
July's average temperature of 96.2 degrees was the highest of any month since record keeping began in 1937. The previous record, set in July 2007, was 95.4, according to the Weather Service.
