Huh?
Am I reading this right in understanding that you had a partial transplant of a dog's penis? I have never read about any kind of interspecies transplants before. Reminds me of the episode of the TV show "Picket Fences" where a lady had a pig's liver transplanted temporarily to save her life until a human one became available.

Honestly if someone could remove them without me bleeding to death I would gladly give my penis and testicles up, better that they get used and the new owner likes them cause I just want rid of em...
Yeah, I've always wanted to offer mine up to any FTM transsexual as a transplant. It would be a lot better for them to have mine than to try to build up a penis like they do.

I say the future is in growing them in a lab, on the backs of hairless rats.

I would assume his story about a canine penile transplant is sheer fantasy... but interspecies transplantation was tried once before, the "Baby Fay" case some years back when a baboon liver was used. The rejection problem is just too severe.

it looks ok in C but in E it looks kind of, nasty.... sure the photos are the right way around? or had it been rejected by his body anyway cause it definitely looks worse in the last one

First time I heard of an ADDADICKTOME with a donor.
DO you think that North American men will end up waking up dickless in Cancun in a bath tub full of ice but with BOTH kidneys?
Hmmm.
Bobover-3", can YOU write this story for the Archive?

I find it strange that this man went through the surgery to be refitted with a penis and that the penis was going to survive and provide him hopefully with the pleasure he'd been missing, but then because his wife didn't like it he had it removed. I'm sorry, but I would not have done that for her. If she didn't want to have intercourse with him because this was another man's penis, that's her problem. I know it's different than getting a kidney or liver, but still, this was important to the man and she should have at least tried it. Maybe it was bigger than his original or maybe she just couldn't come to grips with having another man's penis inside her, so put a condom on it. Geez!

Hu writes in the journal that "there was strong demand from both the patient and his wife" for the transplant to take place. He says that the surgery "was discussed again and again," and the transplant was approved by the ethics committee of the hospital. The donor penis came from a 22-year-old brain-dead man whose parents agreed to donate his organ.
The transplant surgery was a success, but just two weeks later the recipient and his wife requested that the new organ be removed "because of the wife’s psychological rejection as well as the swollen shape of the transplanted penis," according to the surgeons’ report. According to Dr. Yoram Vardi, who wrote a commentary accompanying the journal article, psychological issues involved in organ transplants of any kind are keenly important to pay attention to. Vardi, a neurology and urology specialist at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel, said that if doctors had paid more attention to the need for counseling and psychological concerns surrounding the transplant, "the need for penile amputation could probably have been avoided."

The ethics regarding the removal are interesting. As the doctor quoted at the end calls it "penile amputation", it means that once the transplant is attached it should be considered part of you. I would think that ethically you would only remove a transplanted organ if it was endangering the person due to immune system rejection or infection or other medical incompatibility.
Just because a guy and his wife want to cut off his penis after only two weeks consideration, it is weird that they would go through with the removal.
Of course it was in China ...

Was this from a transplant, or photos from the reattachment of the penis that was cut off by Lorena Bobbit. Obviously a penis can be reattached as his was reattached. Anybody know the details of whether he ever gained any feeling in it again or if it functioned again? As long as necessary blood vessels are connected together I don't see why a penis transplant wouldn't work. Certainly someone who lost their penis for any reason who didn't want to loose their penis would try anything, spare no expense, to get a penis. Anyone who is contemplating removal of their own penis should certainly offer it up to adoption. Selling body parts I guess is illegal, but donations are not illegal. Trying to find a doctor who would and could perform both operations might be a real challenge, though I don't doubt that many surgeons would secretly wish they could attempt such a challenge to a) help out the guy who had lost his penis and b) just to attempt a challenge and hopefully succeed.
Anyone know of a blog from someone who really had their own penis re-attached, or perhaps who actually had one transplanted onto them. (from a verified source, not some jerk trying to pretend and fool people).

It's a strange thing to consider, but this man had two penises cut off in his life, what are the chances of that? That's a fantasy that some men dream about.
