When i do get an erection much less have orgasm I will agree that it is very different, and that it is slower and more drawn out then the good old grunt and buck and release. But what i disagree about is intensity. I may not be having the same kind of orgasm but wow i will take it over the other anytime. and alot of times i am reaching this orgasm with out an erection and with out and substantially discharge.

Thanks for all the responses. I was doing some reading and my own issue with finding that Finasteride/Avodart might have caused me to have more intense but watery discharges, I read that DHT maintains the penis and associated structures, and for me suppressing DHT and having slightly higher free testosterone going through my system, it looks to have caused the cowper's gland to become more active and produce that clear discharge that normally precedes an orgasm. The interesting thing is that normally after having an orgasm, before antiandrogens, I might feel drained for a while, and, if I was too enthusiastic in frequency, I would feel a discomfort from what I'm guessing was my prostate gland, as it was directly underneath and behind my testicles. However, when I began having more of a discharge, and I'm sure it was from another location instead of my reduced in size prostate, it would feel like I was going to come but suddenly instead of feeling like I had any control it would just spurt out forcefully like water and I couldn't stop it- I could just feel it happening.

The only reason that I'm not currently on Finasteride/Avodart is that it made my moods very unstable and I would get angry very easily almost like someone on anabolic steroids.

Right now it's been about 6 months and I have a strong sex drive- neither Avodart of Finasteride affected it- only now I can barely get an erection.

It might be due to some fibrosis or damage to the DHT receptor sites, but I'm finding that the initial sensation, that pleasing warm feeling before an erection is there, but instead virtually nothing happens past that starting point.

The other thing, from personal experience, I have learned is that the sense of being 'connected' to your penis changes on Finasteride/Dutasteride. Instead of being very sensitive it become more like a finger on my hand. It doesn't have that sensitivity or easy excitability.

What a lot of people do is they get many of their levels checked in their blood. It could be I have a reduced level of testosterone/DHT in my system and more estrogen dominance now.

I know that had I been able to take these medications when I was around 17 or 18 I might have transitioned. Now I'm questioning my sexuality. I have always been a bit passive, but now, without having real erections, I'm more caught up in my crossdressing fantasies and thinking about what it would be like to try sex, but from the position of a woman.

Do we know if the side effects do these drugs are permanent??

I've been taking Dutasteride for a couple of years. If anything, my sex drive is higher than it was before. Erect, my penis is about an inch shorter than it was, but I have no problem getting erections or climaxing, whereas before taking Dutasteride I had difficulty climaxing. When I take Dutasteride along with generic Flomax, I don't ejaculate even though I have an orgasm. Taking Dutasteride alone I ejaculate. I've had considerable nipple growth taking it, just nipple growth not breast growth. They are much more sensitive than they were before.

All in all I like the effects of the Dutasteride. As with everything, I suppose it will affect each person differently.
