The advantage of believing in demons is that you don't have to face reality. If there are no demons, then some people are gay and you will have to deal with the fact that people are different; for some people that is just too hard to do, so they have demons to explain it all for them.

Are there any in the FunDamMentalist ranks who in the history of that GREAT religion of XXXXX (fill in the blank) that have, in the name of *******...

1. Killed people because of a divine command?

2. Molested children using the excuse of righteousness?

3. Hanged innocent people for witchcraft?

4. Castrated boys so that they could sing soprano in a church choir?

5. Mutilated girls so that they do not grow up to enjoy sex?

6. Waged a war against non-believers?

7. Fulfilled their own desire in the name of ******?

8. Made up or twisted religious scripture to accomplish their own purposes?

9. Used their righteous position to possess their followers sexually?

10. Been general pains in the ass?

There is a demon at the bottom of every problem, right? I mean, isn't absolution a JOY compared to ACCOUNTABILITY?

Then the politicians would get in on the scene and turn various bits of His message to their own ends.

Then numerous stand-up comedians would mix the material (yes, by now it's 'material' not 'message') with their own stuff, adding a few totally unnecessay expletives on the way, and get a few laughs before the whole message thing was buried under a mass of Internet incosequentialness.

The initial powerful message probably wouldn't even get a mention in Wikipedia.

And Jesus would sigh, turn on his laptop and email his Dad with a suggestion that there was some other world (in some other galaxy, possibly even in some other universe) where He could try again ...

And he'd probably add a warning for his Dad to watch out for a bloke called Muhammad. Might pop up anywhere, and write a very, very powerful message ...

It's really sad that a few weirdo so-called Christians do stupid things like this. In every group, religion, or organization, there's always a few bad apples or in this case rotten apples. However, don't throw the baby out with the bath water, the message of Christ is that through His sacrifice of love, death on the cross, those who trust in Him will live eternally. That's what the love of Christ is really all about, it's not just to love everybody, though that's what Jesus would have us do. It's to receive His gift of love, that He loved you enough to pay for your sin. If you misconstrue that message, then you're missing the point of Christ. He loved the world so much that He died as a sacrifice for sin. You can call me whatever you want now, it doesn't matter to me, but get the message of love Christ's love right.

For me it seems that every human tries to be a good person. One or another way, according to their beliefs and values.

Sometimes dignity could be more valued than life, money valued more than friendship etc.
