Well there are 100m native German speakers, give or take, versus 500m English speakers. We'd expect the ratio of English:German to be 5 to 1 if there were even representation. Say that a third of Germans and two thirds of English speakers know English well enough to navigate the site but prefer to communicate in their own language, and this turns to 10 to 1.

Out of the last 60 days I count 14 German stories, 6 in Spanish, and 3 in Italian, with 126 in English. (I may be off by one or two in these counts because I didn't double check my work). So that's 9 to 1. This all includes sequels (like part 26 of a series) so there's some noise with these estimates, but my initial guess was not far off. What interests me is the relative lack of French and Japanese speakers.

Regarding sexual repression, my experience with the Germans is that they're the opposite of sexually repressed. There is no German concept for 'TMI'. If you want sexual repression, try the Irish or, yeah, maybe the English, or most cultures that are not Thai, Swedish, German, or closely related.
