why are you not supposed to be here?

I remember when I had a 30, 31, 32 inch waist, now its 42, 43, 44 or there about.

As for eating, I try to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, but most of all I eat when I am hungry.

As I get older I noticed that I am shrinking, that must be why I am getting fatter. 😄

I meant I'm not supposed to be here in the listening in on a party line sort of way. I feel like I'm eavesdropping when the conversation is actually about me.

Believe me, I struggle with diet constantly. I try soooo hard to eat right and then get mad at myself when I cheat. I always did eat healthy, but now I've got an even more pressing reason to watch my diet. I'm vain and don't want to get heavy!!

I've been sans testicles for almost 4 years now and Milkman seems to think I've done alright. So if I can just keep everyone else fooled for say another 30 years I'll be satisfied!

Oh, and River...Wasn't it Garfield who said "I'm not fat I'm undertall". If you're shrinking that's got to be it!

I had a 32-34 now 36 I am trying to loose it so hard and work out daily, my testosterone loss took a bit out of me making it very very difficult however on the HRT I am doing better just cant loose all the fat, I had a very nice dody and this hurt me.

Some can easily maintain the body on HRT however some of us have more difficulty.

Any recommendations on diet or what I can do?

As for keeping my weight stable in the 150-155 range, I try and eat at the same time each day. Of course, I have to be aware of how many carbs and what kind of carbs I take in - each and every meal or snack. I limit it to no more than 30 grams of carbohydrate of the 'good' kind (vegetables, whole grain bread, anything natural). Keep in mind, the nutritional values found in a donut are not the same as those in something like a sweet potato, as far as carbs and calorie count.

I also eat three small meals, with larger snacks between them. I avoid refined sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Be aware, HFCS is in a lot of stuff. It's everywhere, it seems.

I also have a ~5 carb snack when I wake up in the middle of the night. This keeps the liver from becoming excited and dumping large amounts of glucose into the bloodstream as you sleep. Huge carb/sugar intakes trigger insulin release, which results in weight gain faster if the amount is overly high on a repeated basis.

I also follow a 'lower' carb diet, and the carbs I have are natural, good ones such as berries, a few fruits, whole grain bread.

Once a week, though, I do treat myself to a 'normal' meal dining out.

That sounds like a very sensible and healthy diet.

BMI, body mass index, body fat, is of importance for heart health, and general health.

Different types of diets are needed for different body types. What works for "A" might not work for "B". Once you find what works for U, stick to it.

In the case of loosing weight start with limiting calories to no more than 400 per meal, 150 per snack, 1200 per day, with emphasis on fruit, vegetables, a little bran for roughage, limiting cholesterol, carbs, and salt. Trade calories between meals as needed. Eat fewer in a morning so if you plan on having a larger lunch.

Dine out frequently, but eat only at restaurants that provide nutritional values of their menu items, and then only order within your daily limits.

One day a week, eat whatever you want for breakfast. A different day a week, eat whatever you want for lunch. And one day a week eat, within reason, whatever you want for dinner. Out of 21 meals a week, if you treat your self for at least 3 meals, and trade calories between meals, it is like a spoon full of sugar helping the medicine to go down.

But never stop watching the calories. All food and beverage that goes into your mouth, count the calories, limit the salt, limit the cholesterol.

Next time you are at your favorite fast food place, ask for, look for their menu's nutritional chart. You will be amazed to see how many individual food items contain more calories, salt, cholesterol, fat that anyone should eat IN AN ENTIRE DAY.
