A guy, out rock climbing alone and trapped in a rock fischer, gets star treatment after he cuts his arm off freeing himself.

This poor Welsh fellow probably gets hit with a 72 hour psych eval., humiliation in the press and a whopping medical bill.

He was lucky to be walking at all. I think the human body only holds about 6 pints of blood. That is a huge amount to loose.

His condition and need is understandable. Wounder if he was under any care of a health professionals. Someone should have started his preop care of going on hormones first. Waiting and living a year as the other sex is normal and very wise choice one should make.

I would think he will be getting some psychiatrist help for a while now.

I didn't mean that he should have done it the way that he did it. I understand the danger, I just believe that the doctors should have taken his age into consideration.
