The patches and jells did not work at all, so my doctor, put me on injectable Testosterone Cypionate, USP, 200mg per ML. Im injecting once a week, and injecting 1.5ccs per injection.
Wow, 300mg a week? I think I seriously need to talk to my doctor about getting new labs done. This time I'm going to see if I can insist they do E2 levels at the same time. I'm somewhat overweight, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the excess fat is causing excess conversion to estrogen.
I wonder though, when would be the best time to test for E2? At the peak of the shot, or at the low point? My doctor likes to test my T levels at the lowest point, just prior to the next injection. When those come back 'normal'* he figures everything is going smoothly.
* Just as a note, while we do measure testosterone levels differently, the Canadian lab limits of 'normal' are a fair bit lower than the figures I've heard tossed around for those in the US. While I'm in the normal range up here just before the next shot, I'm below it after conversion to US ranges.

years ago i used scrotum patches
they worked fine as long as they stayed on
they were discontinued...in favor of androgel
androgel i find is not very good for pumping up labido
thats ok with me i didnt like running around with a stiffy all the time anyway
i tried andromen forte just to see how it worked
it punched my t level thru 800 on lab tests and left me wanting sex all the time
i quit it after 2 weeks as it caused intense pain in my prostate region
my prostate shrank very small after castration..the andromen was trying to make it grow again streatching the capsule of the prostate caused the pain..i use the andromen a few days before sex now to feed my lust..that has been working very well

Has anyone use implants?
I'm part of a years-long study on the effects of a couple vitamins on preventing prostate cancer. Things were more interesting at this year's annual visit because I was castrated since my last visit. I spent quite a bit of time chatting with the head urologist who thought implanted pellets of testosterone were his highest rated way to deliver TRT. I explained that my desire for TRT was only enough to ward off some of the more unpleasants effects of very low T but not enough to rekindly any sexual needs and he said the number of pellets can be adjusted to achieve that goal. Unfortunately that health facility is not part of my health plan so I simply couldn't switch to him for non-prostate study care. I'm going to ask my regular urologist about the implants at my next visit but I'd love some feedback from anyone who might have already tried them?

Yes, Sustanon will make you hornier than Cypionate, and also works at a lower dose. There will also be less estrogen, mg per mg, with Sustanon.

I've done AndroGel for years. It works OK. I received Cypionate injections prior to that. They worked as well, but as everyone knows with injections, they have the problem of leaving uneven cycles. My testicles were removed ~10 years ago, and I still enjoy as active a sex life as ever.

I've seen a lot of people post about erections in relation to HRT and I must add that its not very often a connection thats sound in the medical world. HRT is more about drive, mood, energy etc. Its rare that it has any effect on erections. I suggest that those having issues with erections look outside to other causes and not blame it on HRT.
300mg a WEEK?!?! Thats an insane amount I think WAY too high. ODing on Testosterone mostly turns into Estrogen and THAT will surely give you a wild ride. And ruin your sex drive btw. A more "standard" dose is 100 to 150mg every 7 to 10 days.
I have have serious reservations on how one type of testosterone makes you more horny then another. Cite your sources for that I'm sure many would like to know. If its a personal comment on how it worked for you thats fine.

Run a search and find all the men who have actually used more than one thing and you will see what I mean. Virtually everyone says the same thing in regards to what form of test works better for drive. Also, my sex drive is its best on Cypionate if I use 400mg/wk. Just because 300 looks higher than average doesn't mean it's insane. I know a doc who prescribes 100mg/wk of Cypionate plus 7.5g per day of Androgel.

I have been on Androgel for 2 years, even though I sill have my balls. MyT level went from 204 to 796 and things are working great. Apparently, the natural testosterone levels are changing from time to time and I have to keep adjusting the amount of Androgel to keep the level in the 700 level my doctor wants. If it's too high, there is a blood problem - if it's too low, I have no interest in sex. It seems that removing my balls would make this regulation easier.

When i was tested for T level 5 y. ago the free T was half way to castate level. My doc gave me a prescription for Androgel 5-10g. a day. at 5g. it didn't make any difference, so I used 10g. and I felt alright. Last Febuary I went to Costa Rica and I bought 4 shots of Nibido $83.each, 1 shot last 3 months, you can buy it there without prescription, it works as good as Androgel except that the last 2 weeks I must take Androgel 5. a day. Total for 1 year $332. vs Androgel $1500. I save enaugh to pay for the air fare. Libido is normal but erections are not certain cause I'm on anti depressant.
