At the risk of sounding stupid, could someone please tell me what MOM is? Everyone speaks of it as if it were something that everyone was born knowing. BYW, I hate TLA's.

Hi Elizabeth,

The Meeting Of Members is a get together that we have every year, usually the first full weekend of August.

The Midwest version is held in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area. It's a meeting open to all members of EA. This years meeting will be the third one that I've attend and from my past experience, it is an extremely great time. It's a chance to meet many of members that you know from being on line and it's a really special treat.

I hope you can attend sometime. It's well worth the trip!

It is a great time, we eat, visit, eat, go to the mall, eat, enjoy each others company and eat.

It is not a place to get mods of any kind unless you go to the tattoo parlor on your own. It is simply good people enjoying life together.

Didn't post an update last night - twas late, and we were all tired

Paolo landed about 1230. We wandered the airport for a while, checked a few restrooms looking for Larry C (didn't find him), then had lunch at Houlihan's. Jesus showed up a bit after 2:00. Rental car got picked up, and we all met up again at the hotel. After much chatting, the three of us were joined at Famous Dave's by Danya. Much good coversation, 2 bottles of wine, and lots of ribs, chicken, brisket, and other things on the platter, and we were stuffed. More chatting, sharing of photos, etc., back at the hotel, and by 1000 PM it was a wrap. We're gonna go exploring in uptown area of Minneapolis today. Several of the others are planning a trip to the Mega Mall of Death (walk the whole mall, and you've done about 5 miles). Then dinner at the convent this evening. Grilled steaks, shrimp, and fixins. Damned squirrels won't be bothering us this year.... More later.

Save the squirrel skins for me. I think it's supposed to be a really cold winter this time around.
