I agree, a voluntary - strictly monitored - option must be available. The crux, I think, is assurance of the un-availability of testosterone replacement. Perhaps a tattoo that must be searched for by a doctor before prescribing HRT? Or a data-base?

If you are not a paedophile, you cannot understand how that person feels. Their sex drive is so overwhelming that they literally cannot control their urges. I speak from personal experience. After many years of therapy I learned how to control myself - BUT - it took a lot of effort. You end up fighting with yourself - internal warfare so to speak.... And even so, I would sometimes relapse a little and say or do something innapropriate or questionable. (No criminal acts - just saying the wrong things to the wrong persons at the wrong times....) I lived every single day in fear of a total relapse.

Now that I am castrated, I can finally relax my guard. Sex is now (for me) something that OTHER people do. Many behavior traits that I used to have are gone. For example, I used to read the stories in the Archive. Now, I don't have any interest in them. I had a fetish for bikini underwear - gone! I haven't had an orgasm or the urge to have an orgasm since the morning of my castration. I can still get an erection, but it takes a lot of work and I quickly lose interest. And more importantly, I can look at other people and not have sexual thoughts welling up in my brain.

Yes, I have hot flashes that can keep me awake at night. But these are merely reminders of the price that I have paid in order to have peace of mind.

Some 35 years ago when I got into big trouble, I knew then that I needed castration to control my urges, but it was not available to me. At least I did manage not to re-offend all these past years.... Now I have been an eunuch for 8 months. HURRAH!

I respect Ludek. I was castrated for the same reason, and I need to be nulled just to be sure of myself. Do you know a cutter?
