maybe you could rent one at an equipment rental store! It would be a lot cheaper than buying unless you had 100's of men lined up to be done!

this is gonna sound geeky but now i really want one... because i would love to build a model railway diorama someday!

but of course the temptation to use it on myself will linger there

These tools are interesting. From the video smoke they are clearly very hot. They should cauterise the wound and stop any bleeding not to mention sterilisation effects (pun intended)

I don't think that hot knife acctually has a sharp enough blade to cut flesh with, you may end up in the ER explaining how you got a nasty burn on your privates.
