It's almost a couple weeks past the surgery now...man, what a difference. They didn't put drains in with me, they said anything which filled the sac would get re-absorbed. There was a minor amount of pain and swelling on one side that I went to the ER to get a quick double-check on, they just gave me more antibiotics to keep fighting anything that might be infected.

The chronic pain is gone and it is such a huge change. My kids were asking if the same person got brought home from the hospital, my attitude changed so quickly after the surgery and the pain disappeared so quickly. At the same time, I got a bit of surprise the other day. I always knew that we skydivers had big balls, but I never realized they weighed as much as they did--I've lost seven pounds since the surgery!

Seriously, the fact that I can get up and move more than a few hundred feet before being dropped into a chair or on the floor in excruciating pain makes a **BIG** difference. I can get a bit more exercise every day just with running around at work from one spot to another and my job isn't that physically intensive. I'm now doing stuff in the yards as well on the weekends, so that helps.

The second urologist refused to do anything other than shuffle me off on to a pain management doctor who was already honest enough to admit that we were down to one option and it might not work. It's nice to meet someone who has "balls" when it comes to becoming a eunuch!

Great that all is working out for the best now. Getting the right doctor is so important. So much suffering can be prevented. Think you are over the hardest and it will be smooth sailing now.

I'm glad it's working out for you. You and I are the same age, and came to be eunuchs for different reasons (I volunteered, you volunteered after years of, "Oh GOD! The agony..."

I wish you a pain-free, happy rest of your life. I think you'll come to accept it, especially when your quality of life improves.
