I use to work a graveyard shift stocking a grocery store, and the guys were always over the top with swearing and sex talk. One night one of the guys came in and said, "he was going to do it!" I asked "do what?" He looked down and i took it to mean castrated...he stumbled abit and said, "my girlfriend wants me to go through with it." I started to describe the procedure and the aftereffects. The whole time I thought he was talking about getting castrated until he said, "my doctor said I would only be a little sore from getting a vasectomy but not the other stuff." I told him that I thought he was talking about something else then changed topic. Turns out that everyone else in the store already knew about his up coming surgery and I had to be the last!

I'd be less concerned about it being in the so-called "Bible Belt" and more about if they are a violation of the terms of Craigslist.
I sent a message from one of my alternative e-mail accounts. Let's see if I get a response. I have a pretty good BS detector for such things, so I'll probably be able to give a review fairly quickly.

Thanks, LT,
Please let us know if your detector begins to beep!

actually having compared both..i would take castration over vasectomy
both procedures kill drive ..just one more than the other..vasectomy makes some men quite ill where castration doesn't
i guess its all a matter of how it works for you
i think a study is a good idea
the choice should be ours..go to the doctor and have him do a orchiectomy or a vasectomy
We end up sterilized either way
when planned parenthood counseled me on the procedure..25 years ago..they made it sound like it would be great having all the sex i want and there would be no consequences..it didn't happen that way
I don't know about anyone else, but I would be interested in hearing about what problems you had after a vasectomy.

24 hours after sending a message to their Craigslist box and no response.
I think someone is being a joker, which is what I thought in the first place. But hey, I kind of played along just to see what would happen, and in this case it appears that the answer is, "nothing."

i'd be very careful with something like this...i've heard stories of people being put under and having other organs removed and left to die...if this was legit, i'm sure there would be an ad somewhere other than craigslist...and there would likely be a phone number to call if it were legit.

A vasectomy more or less disconnects the duct that carries sperm from the testicals and has little or nothing to do with libido. I suppose there are a few men who've experiences a loss of drive but I think most men don't see that change.
On a point of information, which I haven't been able to confirm, it feels like the duct that carries the sperm away is tightly bundled up with the artery bringing blood to the testis and some nerve cells to control the output of sperm from the testes. This assembly being the testicular cord, one per testicle.
If it actually is like that, surely the person doing the vasectomy has to be darn careful he doesn't affect the nerves or the artery? Like one sneeze or fart at a critical moment and the ball is buggered!
Perhaps that accounts for why some vasectomy procedures go wrong.
Please would someone more knowledgeable care to comment?
