Now thats some good advice. Thank you.
What about the sermatic cord? Full removal or part? Stitched or cauterised? Scrotal removal at the same time or after or prosthetic testes yes or no?
HRT yes or no? I was thinking yes.

I'm assuming your planning this with a surgeon. Removal of the cords (As much as possible) is a must. Thats why you want this done as a radical orchiectomy not a scrotal one. They open up two incisions in the pubic hair region. Fish out the cords. Numb them up with nerve blocks and cut high.
I opted for implants. This is great for body image if that concerns you. My natal ones were pretty messed up so the implants were a big plus.
HRT is more then just sex drive. I think the advise that you get labs done prior to the procedure is a good one.

It is also a good idea to start antibiotics BEFORE a procedure to preempt any infection. IF you are not using a licensed MD that can prescribe medication, do some research and get antibiotics yourself from somewhere like inhousepharmacy.com. If they are not a real doctor, they are a cutter.

If you are asking us on what method the cutter should preform your castration is not saying much about your trust in the cutter or your knowledge of castration.

Not knowing if you may need to take hormones after castration really tells a lot about you. Do you really have any idea of just what castration is about? Do you know any of the side effects of castration? You do know that you will get the side effects. Not just some of them but can get them all. Some far more then you may expect. You have any idea on how life changing that castration is to the person.
Even if you do take hormone replacement drugs it is not as good as the real thing. Ask anyone that is on testosterone treatment. The shots have cycles of high days and low days. Patch is more common but some people have problems with skin irritation. Female hormones effects are a given side effects.
Think you need to do some thinking about what castration is. I am very afraid that you will be one of the many who are very sorry once done.

I'm a little disappointed by your reply.
Your decision to get castrated will be different to mine and I'm sure ours are different to everyone else as Im sure one size does not fit all.
I was opening up and asking advice. I wasnt looking for chastisement.
As for a cutter, I've never refered to the person as a cutter. He's a medical professional and the questions were more for me to understand the best method and I will say it again; I'm very dissapointed by your reply and assumptions.

Ramses. Thanks for the advice. I have antibiotics already but the person performing the procedure will prescribe post operative antibiotics. But thanks. This is the type of advice I was after. x

I'm relieved that this is a surgeon your working with. I don't think you should be too harsh with Bobbie. He has your best interests at heart and there ARE some people on this forum who would have this done by a back alley meat cutter if they could find one willing to do it.
DO insist he numb the cords and testes with nerve blocks. Also that it be a Radical Orchectomy and NOT a scrotal. Scrotals have a much lower success rate for curing chronic Pain. Radicals are in the 90%s
BTW the nerve blocks are important because trauma caused during the surgery is (many now think) directly related to increased cases of Phantom pains. Also as previously stated cut HIGH! As little cord left as possible. Cord pain maybe really what your dealing with.
Talk and think out implants now. Doing it during the Orchiectomy is a snap. Doing it later? Really silly... *I think. Who wants to be cut open twice?

I've met Bobbie, and trust me, his posts are not flames or belittling to you. It may read like that, but he truly has your best interests at heart. You couldn't want a better person in your corner.

At this point I would like to thank the powers that be for censoring my previous post by removing it.
OK, I'm going to shut-up now. That is all.
