To quote Dickens, A Christmas Carol.
`A Merry Christmas to us all, my dears. God bless us.'
Which all the family re-echoed.
`God bless us every one.' said Tiny Tim, the last of all.

Ah yes, the Winter Solstice... the REAL reason for the season, going back into antiquity and pagan times. I've been drug through several Christian religious things this season by good friends who have the best intentions and who are trying to get me back to the church. I don't have the heart to tell them that I left the church because it's all mythology, so I just go along and mouth the safe old platitudes..."Yes, we're all washed in the blood, thanks for asking..." etc. etc. My interpretation of the First Amendment, the establishment clause, is that I am free FROM religion if that is my choice. Thank You Nonexistent Jesus! There is no Jesus, and I am his prophet. Heh heh heh.

Find it very interesting that the first part of your profile seems a little strange coming from you.

And I believe its freedom to express yourself in whatever religion you wish. I know my own sect was beaten about because it had IDed with Church of England and was renamed to avoid that after the revolution. I think its important to remember that a person is free to be or not devote to whatever but thats not a freedom from religion or that some people might be upset or uptight when someone says "Merry Christmas"
There is freedom of expression as well. Thus I for one say
Down with "Happy Holidays" *This is the country where its OK to be specific. and of course
BOMB DETROIT!
Happy Festivis!?
