True, but, if you were Andy Rooney, Daughter would be Diane Sawyer and rich enough to care for an elderly, demented, perverted wolf 😄

A few years back, I was sitting in a board room at a good sized corporation when the meeting I was attending was about to end. The CEO of the company, a man in his sixties, suggested that another meeting be scheduled to continue the discussions. He took his Day-Runner out of his coat pocket and flipped through the pages to the next weeks calendar. Most of the people there took out their PDAs or Blackberries. After a brief discussion, everyone had agreed on the date and time for the next meeting. The CEO made the notation in the Day-Runner and put it back in his pocket. He sat back, with a rather bemused look on his face, for several minutes, while the younger members of the group, even those experienced with their electronic assistants, struggled with entering the event using tiny keyboards or writing on a touch pad with a stylus. After the last person had entered the appointment in their PDA the CEO took the Day-Runner out of his pocket, held it in front of him and said, "Appropriate use of technology." , before replacing it in his pocket and leaving the room.

Have any of us EVER seen Paolo and Andy Rooney in the same room?

NO!

So there you have it, irrefutable proof!

No, but I have seen Sacha Cohen (Borat) and Andy Rooney on the same film. So if Paolo IS, in fact, Andy Rooney at least he cannot possibly be Sacha Cohen (Borat).

SO that WAS NOT him in the nude hotel scene wrestling with the fat man...

So Krister, WHO was that wrestling with you?

🍑👋

...no, no, just kidding...

:D

Well, I don't know who that was wrestling with Krister, but that was ME wrestling with Michael Caine in "Blame it on Rio."

It is time to revive this thread.

Is anyone else out there just about FED UP with Christmas like I am?

What really strikes me is the irony in the hype we are getting every Christmas: like how every Chrismas you get at least one or two radio programs or advertizements that use a soundbite or allude to the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" yet after hearing it a hundred times, it is the message in that movie that so many of us just don't hear.

This Christmas... Most of the people I know will be scrambling to get this or that appropriate gift, and they will give stuff that NEVER gets used, technogarbage, colorful toys that no kids want to play with.

An aside here: My wife HAD to get two push scooters for my niece's sons "so they can play together...." I pointed out that my niece has no paved area for the boys to use these scooters on, and my wife's reply? "They could play in the street." You would think I am the "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" by the way my wife reacted to me, when I tried to reason with her that the street is not a good place for children to play, and that push scooters were not such a good idea, "maybe something else..." I know, I know, I am such a cold hearted bastard.

We REALLY DO FORGET the really important things, and Christmas season just makes it all worse because you are bombarded with all the BULLSHIT about the "Meaning of Chrismas," and all that "love love love" talk, but "love" is NOT what eveyone is thinking or doing - especially during this over-hyped commercialized season of Christmas.
