Nathan,

It seems like you are on the right track doing chemical first. My story is very similar to you. With me it was a matter of saving our marriage. Remember that chemical castration can give very good results and there is no rush for anything permanent (or regretable).

Good Luck,

Don

Sometimes we think we know what we need for ourselves until we find out otherwise, that's why I'm taking a test drive first. The strap on idea is only for her pleasure and not mine. I would rather give up sex after castration but that's not fair to her, so I have to what's best for both of us. There's more to sex than intercourse and right now that's a small part of our sex life. We usually have intercourse about once a month and the other 2 or 3 times that we do have sex we do oral anyway. At my present sex drive level we could do it 3-4 times a day but her drive is much lower than mine. This is getting complex and personal so I'm going to stop here but keep in mind that we do more cuddling than anything and that's not going to change. In fact, it migh get better because I won't be running off to masterbate several times a day which has always been a problem between us.

Nathan,

Thanks, your explanation cleared up all my questions, I wish you well in your quest.

Dave in Michigan

What does the Tamoxifen get you? I understand it is an estrogen supressor, but how does that help with chemical castration?

Good Luck

TEMPORARY CASTRATION DRUG:

I have been visiting EA because I am researching surgical castration as an option to be rid of testicle pain (info on my blog).

I don't understand the concept of wanting to be surgically or chemically castrated and eliminating libido and sexual activity as a personal choice for non-medical reasons.

I can sort of understand the need for complete sexual reassignment but not voluntary removal of testes and/or penis without sexual reassignment. But I don't need to understand and I am certainly not being judgemental or critical, just observant.

Nevertheless, during my research on castration I found a news article about a chemical that creates a very effective temporary castration. This was new news to me, but it may be old news to those of you who are trying to completely suppress testosterone (another desire I also don't understand).

DEGARELIX.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_a ... 253293.ece

It would be of no use to me as there is no indication that it would eliminate chronic epididimitis and the pain associated with that.

My personal goal would be to have 2 pain free normal testes, but that is not going to happen. For those of you who are opting for surgical castration I would gladly pay for your operation if it were possible to perform a testes transplant so that I could get rid of my defective testes and be the recipient of a normal pair. I'm not looking to father children, I would just like to go through the rest of my life with 2 normal looking, normal feeling, pain free balls, and an ample supply of testosterone would be a bonus. Failing that I'm researching artificial testicle implants and testosterone hormones to be pain free and have the look and feel of having 2 (sort of) normal testes.

Not fair that some people want to get rid of 2 perfectly good balls when others of us would like to have 2 good balls. That's life for you......not fair.

I was thinking the same exact thing... except with me as the donor. Too bad they won't/can't do something like that.

Great minds and all of that.

I understand people get busy over the holidays, but I was wondering if you were going to update your journal. There is some REALLY great information there and maybe someone else besides myself would like to see a continuation.

Hi,

In your daily journal you stated that you started to have lots of pre-cum after you started the treatment.

What I like to know how long does that last for and how bad is it?

As I am seen a doctor this week who should be able to help me, it’s been very hard to find a doctor here in Australia to help you.

Thank You

David
