As I have said on many occasions, I would far rather step between a mother Grizzly and her endangered cubs than step between Paolo and a child whom he thought was endangered. There's a far greater chance of survival with a grizzly bear!
ALL of the moderators on the Archive are highly protective of children. We also know that the authors of many of the stories here with minor themes are working through the traumas of their own childhoods. Putting your nightmares into black and white is often an effective way of coping with them.
Even if no one ever reads the story, putting it into a public place can destroy the power that it holds over the author.
