Re: DonFL has passed :(
I am very sorry to hear that DonFL has passed away. I am still adjusting to Christina's passing and it all hasn't really hit me yet. I deal with these things kind of slowly, bit by bit and day by day.

Re: DonFL has passed :(
First, please remember that my off-the-wall handle and Avatar don't reflect the actually very sensitive SOB of moi. The deepness of the caring and friendship on this site is beyond the comprehension of anyone, or ones, who have not had the pleasure to laugh and cry and help solve personal and global problems at eunuch.org.
I thought about changing the name and Avatar but began to feel that real friends here will see the real person no matter the name and look.
This brings me to my own sadness over the two tragic losses. The tragedy is to the world.
Special thanks go to Jesus for making the grand effort to track down the news and to relate with passion the passion of DonFL's doctor. It is a tribute to the MD to relate his sensitivity and caring to Jesus who then related the same feelings to the rest of us. The knowledge, however sad, helps me (and most of us I suspect) deal with these losses a little better.
To close, let this aetheist say sincerely, "God Bless Christina and DonFL and everyone here and there, wherever here and there may be, at and from this wonderful site, eunuch.org." To quote someone more intelligent and articulate than NN:
Our beginnings never know our ends.

Re: DonFL has passed :(
Of all the people I have met in the EA lobby, Don was the most real. Although gentle most times, he could also (so he told me) be incredibly sadistic - a quality I admire in a man. At first, he approached me, curious about my nickname. See, although he would never actually harm anyone, he was a Texas country boy and knew his way around guns and pyro stuff. Our first chats were damn erotic.
And then he began revealing pieces of his history and how he became the eunuch-to-be that he was at the start of our talks. His struggles with family, disease, the medical community, his lovelife...
It seemed as if, after his self-surgery and the after-care that his fight to become what he was destined to become was nearly over. Unfortunately, there were emotional, financial, and medical setbacks before the recent hospital visit during which, apparently, he died.
After not hearing from him on Yahoo Messenger, I knew something worse than just another stay in the hospital was going on. I can't say that I was close enough to him to have felt his passing, but sometimes you just know
that something's wrong.
I'm worried about his pets. I hope they were being cared for. I wish I had the cash to have flown down to FL to meet him during some of his better days. We woulda had a blast! And many thanks to Jesus for finding out this information. It's good for closure... if there really is such a thing.
I'm not sure if there's an afterlife. It's a comforting thought for those of us left behind. But if there is one, Don, you deserve all the peaceful afterlife you can get. With all the angelic or devilish sex you want, and a few good old boy Texas explosions when necessary.
I'll miss you alot.
