No one has asked the ?? but I was interested to hear how the inguinal approach worked out for you. It seems to me that it might result in less trauma and risk of infection than the removal through the scrotum. I think that most official orchiectomies for medical reasons are now carried out this way. I expect that the testicle is withdrawn from the tunica leaving it intact as a barrier to abdominal infection. I have always thought that the scrotal approach could result in damage just from walking around as well as the fact that the scrotum being the lowest appendage in that area would be likely to encounter inadvertant infection from sweat flow as well as bodily functions if you were not verrrry careful. Any views comments or illuminations on this approach vs the scrotal approach??
I read a lot about the options. For Orchialgia (Chronic Testicle pain) there is no question that removing the cords as high up as possible is the ONLY way to fly... Scrotals do the trick (solving pain) about half the time. Radical (aka Inguinal) Orchiectomy does it in the 90s% wise... Infection risk probably has a lot more to do with after care. The surgeons should be changing gloves and using lots of clean up "gunk" when they work.
One difference of course is you walk away with two scars in the region where you have pubic hair. If you like being fury thats not a big deal. If you trim or shave it can be seen but? Hernia Scars are (I'm told) worse.
There is another way to remove the cords which is to use a Laproscopic approach. At least one of our members told me this is how his was "fixed" aft er they did a scrotal and it didn't work to eliminate his pain.
