I will be medically castrated this coming Thursday (if I dont chicken out). will be having it performed Inguinal.and have asked to have cords removed as close to orgin as possable.I want no more pain.seeing other post on here, I wonder about HTR. I want to self inject but my Dr. will not give the perscription. are there any web sited know where I can buy male hormones.

Another question is if I were to be placed on ANDROGEL or TEstim will that be enough of a hormone to keep the mood swings and hot flashes and any other changes away?

I know no web sites where testosterone can be purchased. I have been using AndroGel, after using clinic supplied injections, and I'm much happier with it. The dosage of gel is easily adjustable to suit your needs. Not everyone has been as satisfied with gel as I have been, so be willing to experiment with delivery methods until you find the one that is best for your situation. --FLO--

Testosterone is a Class III substance and closely regulated. Anyone selling it on the net should he HIGHLY suspect. Buying it might get you locked up. Be smart and get a doctor to prescribe it. If the one you have is freaked out seek a second opinion. Androgel works fine. Has a nice 24 hour cycle like males with functional testicles have. Dose is important. Work with your Doctor, get frequent labs until you feel right. (Like 2 weeks after initial use and after every dose change)

Good luck!

Going back to orchialgia, I never really had much pain, but they did swell up. Unfortunately they had swollen up to normal size whereas they had been small at the start. This meant that when I went to the doctor, I was diagnosed as being normal.

Find a different doctor. I used to get my prescription testosterone shots sent to me from Florida for me to inject them on my own. Its really nothing at all. My grandmother's nurse insisted on teaching me how to give her B-12 shots. (Though I already knew) but the point is, shots are NOTHING. Docs just want you to come in and pay their overpriced asses every two weeks instead of just letting you give the shots yourself.

As for Androgel, many need over 5 G per day to work right for them. Sometimes 10 G seems too much and most men seem very content with 7.5 G per day. But keep in mind, that stuff is a fortune. You many not be able to afford it, depending on insurance. The shots on the other hand, are very cheap. Even the street price for testosterone shots are FAR cheaper than the cost of the gel.

Also keep in mind, the different types of testosterone feel different. 100mg per week of testosterone cypionate will raise your level to the same as 10 G per day of Androgel, and is far more affordable. However, it won't feel anywhere th same in terms of energy levels and sex drive and erectile function.

If you can't afford much Androgel, it may be wise to use a small amount of it, such as 2.5 G per day and also 50-100mg/wk of the shots. It would feel almost identical to using the entire 5-7.5 dose of Androgel, and be more affordable.

There are good doctors out there. Orchialgia in sadly not common enough to be well treated by everyone. You easily risk being the first person they doctor has treated. I suggest seeking help at a large teaching hospital like a University or a place like the Mayo Clinic
