The Meeting Of Members is a get together that we have every year, usually the first full weekend of August.
The Midwest version is held in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area. It's a meeting open to all members of EA. This years meeting will be the third one that I've attend and from my past experience, it is an extremely great time. It's a chance to meet many of members that you know from being on line and it's a really special treat.
I hope you can attend sometime. It's well worth the trip!
Thanks for your reply. It would be great to meet everyone sometime, however, being on Social Security disability means I have limited resources. Perhaps sometime I could make it to one on the west coast.

And you all know where you can go..................
OK, I was making real whipped cream but just as it should have started becoming whipped cream it started breaking down and the next thing I knew it was Butter.
Real Good Sweet Butter, yes we saved it and those that have commented before me all tried it and said it was the very best ever. The Apple Gallette was fantastic too, no whipped cream needed, it was just an added topping.
Wait tell next year, I will get even with them all, if I still remember why I should.

Re: MOM 2009 has started
The MOM is over. Was hard once again to say goodbye to the great friends of the MOM. Having a great time makes the days fly by. As crazy as we may appear on the message board or chat room does not do us justages. Most are far more crazy in person. Bringing this group together is like adding gas to a fire. It just gets hotter.
Great hearing about their life stories and feelings with castration. We come from all walks of life. Different up bringing s. All had struggles dealing with their bodies in one way or another. When you see that others share the same challenges in life you realize that you are not so different. There are far more people out their that have the same feelings as you had.
When a new member arrives you see one person. When they leave they all seem to have changed by the MOM. There is a special bonding that happens that does change your outlook on your being. Talking to others about some of your deepest feelings without being judged is fantastic.
This MOM is over. Plans for the next MOM are already in the works. Will post details next year. With luck more then one MOM will happening.

The party's over,
Everybody had a wonderful time and I wish that everybody that came gets home safe.

Hi River, and everyone else.
I have safely arrived home this evening. I arrived just before 8PM after having driven through parts of five different states.
I had very few problems with constructoin zones on my way home. There was no backup before that dreaded construction zone in Faribault (last Friday it was already backed up 8 miles when I passed by it on my way into the twin cities, shortly before Friday rush hour). Mostly I had to deal with weather. I dodged storms while driving across Iowa, got caught in one past Mason City, and waited out storms at two rest stops.
I didn't go to the Reiman Gardens in Ames like I had wished, because storms started to break out all over Iowa, and I wanted to stay ahead of them. I didn't even stop for lunch in Des Moines. But Riverwind fed me quite well this morning, so I was not hungry anyway, and I finally stoped at a cafe after I got out of Iowa.
I enjoyed meeting all of you, and had fun at the meeting. I'm sorry that I didn't arrive a day earlier, so that I might have gone to the mall with several others instead of going alone Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed reading this thread so far, especially posts from posters that I can now put faces on after having met them.
I do hope to see all of you again, as well as some people that didn't make it this year. I wish to again thank Riverwind for his excellent breakfasts, and everyone for their company at the buffet and the meals on Saturday.
I just now heard thunder. It sounds like those storms have already caught up with me at home, so I will need to shut down my computer now.

Re: MOM 2009 has started
Well I made it home safely, but no where near on time. Curse you United Airlines! Their on time record with my travels this weekend is 0%. Next year I'm going to try American or NWA.
Anyways I just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had this past weekend visiting with all in attendance. It was great to see so many familiar faces and to meet some new ones like Sherry & Chucho.
Kristoff and Paolo were in their usual rare forms and River's pancakes just keep getting better and better. An especially big thanks to bobbie for planning the event, his wonderful cooking and his generosity.
My deepest appreciation to my dear friend and "sister" Danya for her gracious hospitality and for providing me with her guided tours and transportation throughout the weekend.
I'm going to miss all of you and I can't wait to do it again next year. Here's hoping that everyone arrives home safely.
If anyone is interested in seeing the photos I took this weekend, please send me a PM and I'll provide you with a link to the photo album.
