About Chemical Castration - Read This First
First, apply some common sense.
Castration (physical separation of your testicles from your body) is forever. They cannot be reattached. Once they are gone, they are gone for good.
This will have certain side effects for anyone who is physically castrated. Medical conditions that cause the testicles to fail, while still be attached, fall under the same category. Deprivation of testosterone will affect one person differently than it does another. No two people are the same in physiology.
You can certainly find the side effects quite easily by using the SEARCH function. There are many posts on these. Some of them may be quite unpleasant.
Many of those here at EA recommend a "trial run" with chemical castration. There are quite a few drugs out there in injection or pill forms that mimic the effects of castration. Testosterone production is either shut down or blocked. You will find out what it is like to have no testosterone (or very damn little) in your body.
After short periods of time, once ingestion of the drugs stop, you will return to "normal", as in - how you were before trying out the drug. Some drugs may cause effects that are not reversible if taken for LONG periods.
READ THE DIRECTIONS AND DO THE RESEARCH before you start.
If you think you want to be castrated and not have HRT (hormone replacement therapy) then a trial run is a very good idea. You cannot 'go back' once you are physically castrated. You can 'go back' from a brief drug regimen.
This is why it is our belief here at EA that anyone seeking castration should try chemical castration FIRST, and only for long enough to experience the effects.
Personally, I got it the hard way through a medical condition. I wish I had had this information beforehand to at least KNOW how it was going to feel, instead of having a rude surprise!
HOWEVER - NO ONE here will (or can) force anyone to order - or ingest - any chemical castration medium that can be ordered over the Internet. WE have NO control over what YOU do in real life.
If, for some odd reason, you think that WE do, then you need to seek professional help.
This is much like hanging around on an auto website and reading about hybrid cars. No one can force you to go out and trade off your SUV for a Prius.
No one here is forcing anyone to do anything.
We are offering suggestions, advice, and good advice from trusted members who have done it. We also encourage you to post about your experiences. This is valuable information.
Thank you.

Very sound advice Paolo, and somethign everyone should take on board. i certainly have and will start my 'trial' this coming week.
It is very very exciting, though a little nerve-wracking, but the decision is made, and i am certain in my mind this is needed (for me).
I really would echo ALL Your sentiments in this post, and encourage and urge everyone to do the research first. There is a plethora of information here and so many that will help with advice, encouragement and feedback. A truly wonderful resource.
It has certainly helped me, no end.
A million thank-yous, and i will start my blog as soon as my 'delivery' arrives

Hi!
Chemical castration by intratesticular injection of lactic acid is not so simply and easy, read here:

".......lactic acid administration is not a suitable alternative........" sums it up nicely. --FLO--

There is very good reason why Chem-Cast, a proprietary lactic acid formulation for animal castration, was withdrawn from the market. As far as I can tell, no one uses the method any longer. It was more painful and sometimes failed.
Scotties narrative of his attempt is a powerful cautionary tale against any human using the method.
Here is the full article abstract, with added emphasis:
Abstract
This experiment evaluated intra-testicular injection of a sclerosing drug, lactic acid, for castration of bulls. Its use was compared in 58 Brahman cross calves (50 to 128kg) with the general practice of open surgical castration. Chemical castration appeared to be more painful than surgical castration, though post-operative swelling and pain appeared similar for both methods. Chemical castration took 3 times longer than surgical castration (58 sec v 20 sec; P less than 0.01). Scrotal necrosis occurred in 25% of chemically-castrated calves and appeared due to drug leakage from the testes under the high pressure of injection. Healing time for chemical castrates was approximately twice that for surgical castrates. Five chemically-castrated calves (18%) retained one testis. Though all 5 were rendered sterile, each maintained androgenesis. This led to secondary male behaviour which caused management problems. Castration method did not influence post-operative growth. It is concluded that

Re: About Chemical Castration - Read This First
I think this thread should be more properly titled to avoid any confusion with inducing chemical castration by use if IM or oral drugs, a practice advocated by many EA members as a trial before surgical castration.
Injecting lactic acid to destory the testicles is not chemical castration in the way the term is routinely used here. At least go to chemical destruction or something like that to differentiate between the two procedures better.

Re: About Chemical Castration - Read This First
I fail to understand why this thread was reported.
AGAIN.
Are we promoting injections?
Injections of what?
Yes, chemical castration drugs of some types DO come in liquid form that is injected into the human body via a needle.
Do we recommend chemical castration as a trial run before physical castration?
Yes.
Do we recommend you inject 93 octane unleaded gasoline into your testicles?
NO.
Therefore, I guess we are promoting injections - of drugs that are sold as and are generally considered safe for use in humans.
We are NOT promoting injecting anything into a human body that is not considered a valid pharmaceutical.
I fail to understand why this thread cannot seem to be comprehended.

Well i dont see what this was ment to promote, other that good advice to anyone who is thinking of castration.
Before i started on chemical castration, i lurked about here for a while and found nothing but good advice, anyone who thinks this was promoting injections should read the original thread again, and see that this was not in any way shape or form promoting any thing apart from good avice.

Hi Paolo,
first of all i thank you and the others here so much for your help!
Thinking a long time about my castration, i had all the time the inner fight with my strong wish and my fear.
But your way, with a chemical test before the cut, shows me that you really want to help others to be happy with their future life as eunuch.
So, now i know what my next step is.
I admit, i am a bit excited.
I want my "trial" as soon as possible!

A really useful resource on the effects of some of the drugs used can be found here http://www.transgendercare.com/medical/ ... /index.htm
Consideration of the side effects of the drugs is as important as the effect. I am on a health crusade at the moment and quite unbearable!
