That`s quite a number of hits, Paolo!
I have to admit, as a native German speaker (as anyone will notice easily while reading my English posts
) that I am not at all content with the translation of Eriks story!
It seems as if the translator just let it run through a translation program without checking for mistakes later on.
You know that the computer just takes the most likely match of its internal dictionary without the ability to check if the result makes any sense or the grammar is correct.
Like in your own post above where "Well done" is translated into German as "Deepening made" (I translated it literally back with assistance of my dictionary)
Because I like Eriks story very much I was really disappointed by the translation.
I would appreciate it if those who want to translate a story in another language would do a better job.
And, to stop complaining and to add a positive point at last, if there is any need for a translation into German furthermore, I am willing to assist in the work.

Well, I sort of thought the same thing, but then again, I speak "book German" and one word in the wrong place or a verb NOT where it should be just ruins the sentence for me! hehe.
I did the same thing to a French story submitted tonight. It sounded interesting from the header and 1st paragraph, so I let Systranet have a go at it and pasted the rough copy at the tail end of it.
It didn't do too well, many because of words SPELLED WRONG in the original. I think this is the last time I will do this.....darn, tease me with a good header and some English.....
