Re: Androcur
My personal experience is that it takes at least six months to experience the full effects of Androcur.

Re: Androcur
I am very tempted to try Siterone (generic Androcur) but wonder if it will give me more effect than the Spironolactone i am on now (2x100mg).
Is the increased risk to my organs (well liver) worth changing to CPA (Cyproterone Acetate) when i need to order more anti-androgen
would love to know

I am no doctor or play to be one. It seems that androcur is better for a test run. It seems to not do damage as fast to the testicles. You can take the drug longer and still turn back with better chance of recovery. Taking the high dose is where the greater chance of liver damage will happen. People taking 300 - 400mg or more is when you run into trouble. Most seem to take around 100mg. Depending on the person it may be more or less.
Think it is seldom that more then 200mg is needed. People talking more then that amount may be doing so for no reason. Thaking more is not better. You need to have a blood test to know when you are taking enough. You can not go by feelings. The effects that one person my get could be very different for you.

Re: Androcur
The liver problems with CA are mostly attributed to high doses (800mg)/ with geriatric patients.
