Recent Circumsision

Post by wannabe (imported) »

🙋

ok i think this is the place to post as i guess its a health issue.... the wednesday just gone i was circumsised at my towns smal hospital (where to my supprise i was put to sleep i never realised they did that these days so was a nice supprise and relief!) ... just a quick question is all, is it normal for the head of the penis to look more swollen than usual? it looks like he has taken off both exterior and interior foreskin and its sewen quite close to the head... so i guess it would make sence if there is any swelling for it to be around the head, just wanted to check by anyone with experience as i live quite a distance from my doctor and ont want to waist his time as im pretty sure there isnt infection as ive kept it all very clean.

thanks

wannabe.

Swelling after surgery is just that - swelling and red. It takes a couple days to go down. It shouldn't hurt except for the obvious incision and stitches or joining.

Can you phone your doctor (or the nurse) and ask? It might be worth your peace of mind.

i hear it is one of those extremely painful surgeries

if thats too personal just dont answer

i would loose my testicles long before i would let anyone touch my foreskin

But you did the right thing in asking if everything was OK. Don't be shy with your doctor.

Glad to hear you are healing up.

I agree with Dave. And...you weren't bashful about having the surgery(I assume).

Of my own experience, having similar style of cut, I could tell that most of swelling would be gone in 5-7 days. And colors disappear after 10-14 days.

my penis looked quite bad at day 2-3. After that it started to get better noticeably with every day.

ok well just to update, 2 weeks since the minor opp,

i went to the docs the other day as suggested on here and she said everything looked like it was fine accept for some minor infection which was best to leave for my body to combat instead of giving me anything for it.

Well guess whos back off to the docs today with a more painful and spread infection lol grrrr there also seems to be a section with a missing stitch which means a piece of the bottom skin now seems to be healing over on its own rather than joining together with the top piece of skin which from what i can see will form a flap of skin which will have to be cut off or recut and rejoined.😠

anyway to the question as to why i got this done, purely because i think its neater and tidyer, i dont like the flappy foreskin getting in the way all the time it doesnt feel as clean having foreskin, but thats just my personal feelings so i used an excuse of irritations and rashes on the head of my cock to the doctor and he suggested circumscision so here i am.

I am sure you made the right decision for yourself. I had the procedure done when I was 6. It was probably one of the most painful surgeries I've ever had. Some days I regret it. But, not always. Just thought I'd toss in.

A someone who had circumcision done at birth, (and is glad of it, given the various health benefits, such as reduced risk of cancer) when it is a totally minor thing, I think you experience is an argument in favor of continrirg that now often criticised practice.

Interstingly in the Bible -- I forget which book -- there is the story of how the Children of Israel eliminated a rival tribe by convincing the men to convert to Judaism, then attacking them when they were recovering from the surgery.
