Price of testosterone

Post by gontran (imported) »

What is the price of the testosterone shots eunuchs need if they want to counter the effects of castration?

Is there a significant variation according to states or countries?

I was told about patches, are they better than shots, and how much?

A 10ml bottle of testosterone cypionate, 200mg/ml only costs about $7 to make. And it used to sell for about that price too. But now they realize they can price gouge it 10 times that price, so they do. That cream from Australia may actually cost less than the shots now, even though it's more expensive to make. But to answer your question, if they charge you $70 for a bottle of injectable testosterone, it will still last 5 months at 100mg/wk, which is the typical dose for HRT.

Can you also tell us what a minimum dose would be (to avoid health problems like osteoporosis)

I know it doesn't take much of the injectables to prevent osteoporosis. Also, the injectable works much better at preventing it than the gels do. This is likely due to the fact that the gels have a lower conversion to estrogen than the injectables do. I know on Androgel's website they say their 5 gram dose did not increase bone density, only the 10 grams dose worked for that. But on the injectables, as little as 50mg every two weeks of Deca is prescribed to women for preventing osteoporosis. Which is a very low dose. And even though Deca is not exactly testosterone, I have a feeling both are about the same with regards to bone density.
