According to whether one is castrated before puberty, at 19 years in the course of puberty, at 25 years at the end of the puberty, at 30 years in full sexual maturity, at 50 years or 60 years when sexuality drops; the effects are not the same ones and each ages have particular advantages and disadvantages.

I think that according to what one seeks it is necessary to hold account of it, of 19 years one is not mature sexually, the body with still of the childish characters and if one stop the production of testosterone the body of the boy will stop his male development, that can be favourable to the wish, one is more close to femininity!

Half that. Twenty is a far more perfect of an age for the removal of all unnecessary glands.

Wahrscheinlich waere die beste Loesung wenn du dich mit einem Spezialisten ueber Verweisung deines Hausartztes in Kontakt bringen laesst damit er sich ein Bild formen kann von deinem Wunsch diesbezueglich. Wenn der Spezialist meint dein Begehren sollte man nachgeben wuerde eine solche Operation auch von deiner Krankenkasse oder Versicherung getragen werden. Jedoch solltest du dich darueber schon im klaren sein das man dein Begehren serioes und also nicht leicht untersuchen wird, es koennte also eine Weile andauern bis es zur Operation gelingt.

Personally I don't think there is a fixed proper age for this precedure as everyone is different and in every case there are personal factors.

Yet I do believe than many people still feel it should have happened to them much earlier but that is something else.

For those who don't read German: I adviced Tobias to see his GP who might send him to a specialist who might listen to Tobias' needs. If this specialist would agree it also would mean that his healt insurance were to pay for such an operation. Also warned him that this official way might take some time.

when I originally appealed to the doctors for it over 6 years ago. If you're certain you're doing it for the right reasons, then don't let other people's dogmas about masculinity prevent you from achieving your desired self/body-image.

I don't see any replies from hammel88; are you monitoring the feedback? In any event you say you are 19 and gay. Do you just want to get rid of your balls but keep your sex life? Without balls there is no sex life without taking testosterone replacement therapy the rest of your life which can be costly and doesn't provide the full range hormal experience as internal testosterone. Or maybe you want M to F transition. If you are bone deep sure about what it is you want and determined to let nothing get in your way then you are almost ready. When making irreversable decisions, no matter how sure you are about what you want, it is still a good idea to step back, re-think, think some more, before plunging forward. If you want to have fully developed male characteristics and just be rid of your balls then you might want to wait 2-5 years before making the cut. If the goal is to stop the effects of testosterone, now, well you can do that with drugs and delay making the final cut.

Only you knows what is best for you, even if it seems absurd to someone else. Use what worked for other people as examples of what has worked and didn't work for them, but not as templates for how you should live your life. Just don't modify or harm yourself in anyway that you think you might possibly regret later on. Doubt is our sixth sense that helps us protect ourselves from doing something that we may later regret.
