That reads like a golden ray of optimism. I reckon you're a tough cookie and you won't be beaten by adverse circumstances. Good luck to you Donny.

The most important sex organ on the human body is the one between the ears. Your brain tells you whether you are male, female, or other. Your brain tells you whether you are gay, straight, or other. Usually the body coincides with what your brain is telling you, but it often doesn't. I hope that you have a good counselor who is helping you with your questions. It won't be easy, but you will become comfortable with yourself again.

Hi Nullorchis: I read and re-read your message many times and it's pretty profound. You're right that when something like this happens a person should finally get to thinking: "Now what?" Whats happened ... happened." It is time to move on and continue living the best you ccan. In my case I am seeing my doctor and looking into hormone treatments ... when I begin to understand what seems like gibberish to me I will ask our family for help and advice. I have found many, many friends here and believe it or not guys, I feel a hell of a lot braver than I did when I found this site. Thanks again brothers. Luv ya all, Donny

Welcome to the group. You will find a lot of understanding here and you won't be alone. It sounds like what happened to you was both unexpected and unwelcome and you have all my sympathy if that was the case. No one will laugh at you here.

However your life must go on and there is a lot of information aroung this site on how to deal with the loss of your testicles. You need professional advice and support from a specialist who deals with this area and can put together some form of testosterone treatment to replace your natural production. From what little bit I know about it, it takes a while to get it right and professional help is a must.

You are not alone in your loss. Orchiectomy (technical term for removal of the testicles) is a surgical proceedure done for a number of reasons including cancer, injury, torsion (twisting that cut off the blood supply), infection etc.

I hope your doctor is sympathetic and taking this professionally. Don't be shy about switching if you feel that your guy isn't right for you. You may have to see a Urologist to get started but you really will need an Endocrinologist who specialises in the HRT (hormone replacement therapy) area to set up and monitor a proper regime that suits you. With this you should be able to have a reasonable sex life (to me this is very important) if that is what you want.

Also you may be able to get silicone implants and scrotum reconstruction to maintain appearances if this is important to you.

I an not a eunuch but for a long time I was a wannabe and can't help you much more in terms of detailed advice. You are in the right place for this discussion and are contacting the right people. If you want to do it in private look at using the Messaging system (see top right corner on the page) to talk directly to any of the people here. By now you will have feel for the serious people here and I don't know of any you can't trust to keep private anything you tell them in confidence.

One last word. You are not alone and it is a great place to come for help and sympathetic advice particularly if you start feeling too depressed about it all, it really helps to talk things out and you can do that here. Rest assured, no one in this community will laugh at you or ridicule you in any way. It is a very broadminded and supportive group when someone asks for help

My best wishes to you. 👥👥🎶🎶
