It depends on how you define fun. If you think that fun=excitement then having testerone helps -- adrenaline production and how it feels is related to hormone levels.

Yes, but children have other hormones at work such as growth hormones. Children are NOT eunuchs.
Secondly, if you really think about when you got into excitement, it was probably around puberty. Pubescent girls giggle all the time, and pubescent boys start to engage in dangerous activities -- crime, fighting, fast cars and heavy music.
Additionally, small children have fun because everything is new to their brains. Us cynical adults just don't have the same amount of fun playing on a swing or holding a balloon.
Lastly, children don't have responsibilities. It is a lot easier to laugh when you don't have coworkers to deal with, bills to pay, and health starting to wane.
Most people would like to return to childhood, but being a eunuch adult is not equivalent. Be careful what you wish for!
