Sexual Performance Questions

Post by ptownkev (imported) »

Hey guys-

I've been reading the forums on here for a long time but this is my first post. I'd like to get some advice on the best course of action for eliminating sexual function--ie, causing impotence and losing the ability to orgasm or ejaculate. I'm 45 years old, gay, total bottom. I've had periods of impotence which I've really enjoyed but recently my penis has had a mind of its own, so to speak. I have a small endowment and I like to keep my member as shrunken and out of the way as possible.

I already have a relatively low testosterone level: free = 10.3 ng/dL and total = 265 ng/dL. Certainly not near castration levels but on the low side for a guy in his 40s, I think.

My goal is to induce impotence but I'm not as concerned with reducing libido and I definitely want to try to avoid other side effects of castration like gynocomastia and reduced energy. I also read on here about how some men take androcur or another chem cast drug and can still get erections, although they don't have much desire, which seems to defeat the purpose for me.

I've had some luck with saw palmetto which is supposed to work similar to drugs like Proscar and Avodart and block the conversion of testosterone to DHT, but the effects aren't complete and they don't last.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, I should point out that I'm not averse to chemical castration--I just want advice on the combination of meds that will give me the highest probability of impotence with the least amount of feminization.

Thanks!

Reducing the Testosterone levels will have effect on all the areas that you do not want to have. You can not pick and choose what side effects you get.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I understand that the effect of very low testosterone levels in the body include loss of libido, fatigue, loss of lean muscle mass, redistribution of fat, possible gynocomastia, depression, osteoporosis, etc. It seems though that some combinations of drugs can either enhance or moderate some of these effects. For example, it seems to be the experience of some people that taking tomoxifen with an anti-androgenic agent reduces the incidence of breast development. And I know that both an increase and a decrease in estrogen in men can inhibit sexual function. So, what I'm wondering is whether, perhaps, for example, a lower dose of a drug like androcur, used in combination with either an estrogen or anti-estrogen agent, could impair erectile function even if testosterone is not at castrate levels? Or can taking Tomoxifen alone bring on impotence? Or are there other combinations that have similar effects? I suppose I could experiment with various doses and combinations to see what works for me, and of course I understand that everyone's body has different responses to the drugs, but I'm guessing that there are people on the board who have probably tried many and varied approaches and have some anecdotal information on their results that they could share with me.

Thanks in advance for any guidance that anyone can offer!

I take Lexapro which is an SSRI. It has taken away my ability to orgasm. Primadone does even better. I take it for a tiny tremor in my left thumb. When I take it, I cannot cum no matter what. It takes a whole day or two of not taking it before I can cum again.

Thanks, ballsontheline! I appreciate the info. I had the same response when I started on Celexa (another SSRI) some years ago, but the effects faded after a couple of weeks. I'll look into the other drug you mentioned. Thanks again.
