20 months on Siterone

Post by gangly (imported) »

Just an up-date, 20 months now on siterone of which for the last 16 months has been on 50mg. Not much change since my last post, still unable to have an erection at night without manual stimulation, still have sex with my wife three times a week, breasts have enlarged, hair doesn't fall out, a lot of body hair has gone and my emotional state has levelled out to what I think is quite normal, still feel more tired than usual and for the love of me I like the feeling of not being a sexually obsessed person, but I love sex. Some-times I can't come without being manually handled, but most times I can. My wife initiates sex and without her love and affection and attention I probably would not feel like sex at all, this is basically what I wanted when I started on the tablets

Dear Gangly,

I'm happy to read this kind of report.

It sounds you found yourself.

I also think this is what many of us want.

Thank you very much to have dealt this with us on this forum.

Take care.

Vesal.

Hi Gangly,

Thanks for the update. I read through all your previous contributions and I see that my experiences just about mirrors yours. Just this morning I told my wife in bed how I like having the ability to caress her at night without having the anticipation of sex.

Unlike you, since starting Androcur we have reduced our loving making to only several times a month, which is fine for the both of us since sex is no longer a driving force for me.

I take Tamoxifen to prevent any breast growth.

I am glad to see other married men in our situeation. I remember when I first went to our MD and was surprised by her support. Lowering my drive to more closely match my wife's has surely saved our marriage. After over three years chemically castrated it is a way of life. A much less fustrated and relaxed life.

Thanks for posting that Gangly :) Now I'm over 30 I worry about the hair on my head falling out and more unwanted hair arriving on my body, my sex drive could use turning down a couple of notches for the sake of my relationship also...Siterone sounds perfect thanks :D

Thanks for the update gangly. Judging from your effects and the dose level I would guess that you hormone levels were on the lower side to begin with. In any case the effects seem to be just what you were seeking. Watch out for depression for it can sneak up on you. Make sure you are taking calcium for you are at higher risk of getting osteoporosis.

smoothgrooves78 the dose and effects are not always the same from one person to another.

Thankyou ;)

The only way to find out for sure how it would effect me is to try it out, no? :)

It would be wise to keep a log of the things that you notice. It is hard to remember just when the different changes really happened after a few weeks pass. They all seem to run together.

Hi all,

After over a year of pondering, and a lot of info from EA users and the internet, I will finally start Siterone on August 1. I was thankful that my internet order was filled. I will now order more to ensure that I won't run out after I start treatment.

I Will take 100mg for starters and drop to 50mg after that.

As I am already low T so may not need 100mg for very long and might only need 25mg for maintenance. Will monitor and report on this on my log.

Wondering when to take Tamoxifen?

Right away, or after a few months?

Not interested in getting breasts. I prefer the "pec" look.

Thanks.

Since you started on siterone have you noticed a reduction in size
