Well the good news is all my blood count numbers are good, the bad news is that even when I eat lite watch my diet I don't loose any weight, the good news is it dose not go up, the real good news is I love food, the even better news is P has had one of my breakfasts and he survived.

If you've ever waxed a car or truck you know how backbreaking it can be, especially doing the lower portions. Imagine what it's like doing the sides and boot (the underside and keel) on a boat. Agoneeeeee!!! That's why, after the first time I did it, I decided it was better to pay (out of my own pocket, rather than whine to Ash[leigh] for funds from BG's accounts,) someone to do it. Soooo, while I DO wipe the boat down, usually with the grudging assistance of whomever is my fishing partner for the day, after pulling onto dry land, I leave the periodic heavy waxing to a shop that has a lifting system.

They can raise and even tilt the boat to make access to the boot easier and by lifting it they can access the area normally obscured by the two long "bunks" the boat rests on while on the trailer. Their GENTLE use of power buffers helps a bunch too. NOTE: Do NOT tilt hull to when fuel tanks are full, especially if smoking. Spill+Spark=Ka-Boooom!

They even shine the entire motor plus clean instruments and electronic warfare systems screens, then wipe out or vac the storage areas and "purify" the live wells (not that they have water in them most trips, since all bass caught are kissed and released, but we do use them for other yummy species.)

So, if you really want the job, you'll have only yourself to blame when you wind up looking like Quasimodo.

Several years ago my friend bought a used house boat, 36'. It had been setting for a couple years so he had it put in dry dock and we waxed the hull. Two years later he pulled it out again and had the pros do it, worth every penny.
