Comment on the EA for new and old users

Post by StefanIsMe (imported) »

Hey, all.

I just feel the need to make a point.

I've been stuck at home for three days now with pretty much nothing to do other than read through the EA message boards (got hit with the most vicious cold I've ever had).

What have I concluded, after several hours of cruising around, reading posts?

Mainly, that the EA is HARDLY what I originally thought it was, 7 years ago, when I 'discovered' it.

Back then, I thought; "Wow! What a neat fetish site. It's big, got a huge archive of stories, and an active board. What fun!"

How wrong I was.

This site is more a club, a political forum (much to the chagrin of the owners sometimes, I'm sure), a place of healing, and in general, a support group for people, than anything else.

The conviction that the managers here have is astounding. Just look at the posts by the most involved; whether the posts are positive, encouraging, disciplining, or downright angry, they are ALL meant for the betterment of the site and the education of the members. The care about the subject comes through every time.

Honestly, it blows my freakin' mind. You simply do NOT see this level of honest heart-felt feeling in other sites that also happen to publish stories.

Jesus, Paolo, IEunuch, Kristoff, Plix, etc etc etc... they don't come here and jointly run the place because they 'get off' on the subject, it's obviously much more than that.

Even when I'm sick and stuck at home with all the time in the world on my hands, I don't have the energy to comment, with logic and feeling, on 1/4 of the posts they do.

This is work; These guys work their asses off both behind the scenes and in our faces on the board. But it's not just rote, type-the-words-and-feelings-be-damned work; they do this because it MEANS something to them. How many boards on the web can say that? Damn few.

In the better part of a decade, I've gone from being here only to read stories that interest me to reading the message board for my emotional 'news' (while yes, still enjoying the stories).

Anyway... thanks guys. Thanks for making this a whole lot more than a collection of stories and a dead board that only discusses said stories.

This places blows my mind.

And no... this is not just the Benylin DM and Tylenol 3's talking :). This cold is hideous, and the drugs help, but the points above needed to be stated.

EA FOREVER!!

Oh, and lets not forget, I hope the warmth that the board offers you, will help a little to finish the cold that knocked you down.

loveU

Your cold sounds bad if you're taking tylenol 3 for it. That's all I needed after my castration. As a relative newcomer, I certainly have learned a lot from the EA, started my chemical castration and proceeded to get castrated. But not just talk and chat, I have met some neat members to put some faces with names here. I'd love to go to the MOM to meet more but have a major event the week before and not sure I can do both.

I have noticed that too.

Over the years I have noticed how people change as they become eunuchs. This board has become more eunuch than it was at the beginning. Due to 'eunuchization' themes have changed too. Fantasies about castration are replaced with actual problems with being a real eunuch and attention from sex related issues are moved gradually to more non sexual issues and general problems like politics.

This board changes as we do. Hopefully better direction.

Partially we should thank mr. Spector and mr. Kimmel for that pathologic induced change. ;)
