'Cured' of being gay.
There's an account here of a chap who claims he was 'cured' of being gay:

My guess is that he wasn't really gay to begin with and it was early childhood experiences that led him to think he was.

Nomorehotbutt, I saw her too!!!!
I got into a conversation with another eunuch and he had concluded that castration was a cure for gay. The more I thought about it, the more sense it made. I was probably mowing, and my mind was floating away somewhere.
Gay is homo, same sex, so the only way technically a eunuch could be considered gay is if he was with another eunuch. So, does that mean that if a eunuch is with an intact male it wouldn't be homosexual.
One of those "why is the sky blue" questions isn't it!

Hey I like you, this is one of the best I've seen in long time.
I hope soon to become a real eunuch, and I am affraid that with my thoughts about some of them I would just like to stay a little bit gay

Re: 'Cured' of being gay.
Both pre and post eunuch I have been attracted to men. I can not imagine ever feeling any differently than I do now. These feelings are most natural for me. If I tried to become straight I would be miserable as well as the woman with whom I tried to have a relationship. Since I do not think of my desires as wrong I do not need a cure.

Re: 'Cured' of being gay.
Christ on crutches! There is no cure for being gay. To assume or proclaim there is would indicate that being gay is somehow a sickness or disease. And while some religious zealots will continue to argue such; there is no biological nor psychological scientific evidence of such. Homosexual behavior has been observed in nearly EVERY species. Can a heterosexual man engage in homosexual behavior? Of course he can. It doesn't mean he is homosexual. I am so saddened by the destruction this theory causes people, and pray that someday people will just accept the aberrations in all of nature, as a part of nature, which is exactly what it is: nature.

Agreed! It shouldn't make any difference one way or the other. It would be the same as being Catholic or Methodist. Or male or female. Mine was just a miscellaneous rambling.

Re: 'Cured' of being gay.
If you believe the Kinsey scale, few people are either 100% straight or 100% gay, and most are at least slightly bisexual although they may not be conscious of this due to cultural conditioning. Most of these people claiming to have been "cured" of homosexuality were probably capable of swinging either way to begin with and have simply been trained to suppress the homo side of their sexuality.

Re: 'Cured' of being gay.
This is a controversy I simply do not understand. Of course some people can change from homosexuality to heterosexuality. They are called bisexuals, and they have been around as long as people have been around. (There is plenty of evidence that a lot of heterosexuals can change to homosexuality too; talk to anyone who has spent time in prison, or to Senator Craig.) Anyone with more than a smidgeon of history would see that for most of human history, a normal male was one who would have sex with anyone who could be seduced, induced or coerced to hold still for it. And women had to deal with men who often went off to war or sea voyages for years at a time, so their only relief was with other women. Yet they could turn heterosexual when their husbands returned. One of the silliest tenets of gay political theory is that you are either hetero or homo and bisexuals are just self deluded gay people.

Re: 'Cured' of being gay.
The point I am making is the confusion of orientation with behavior. Kinsey with all due respect made that confusion too. Dicks are dicks, in some cases they will pretty much f*** anything to get off, that's behavior.
