Tragic Consequence of Bankers' Greed

Post by Kortpeel (imported) »

Yet another tragic consequence of the bankers greed: blondes are dyeing their hair to brunette in order to be seen as more serious in the workplace.

Apparently blondes are perceived by employers as a dispensable luxury and are more likely to be retrenched.

Does this mean the end of the world as we know it? Is the world going to become a darker place? No more Tippex on the computer screen?

Not that I’ve anything against brunettes, but well, blondes are more fun. Blondes make the world a better place. We need more of them, not less.

No more tracing paper stuck to the LCD monitor and then using a pencil to copy graphs? at least in this case telling about PrintScreen helped ;)

This one I've seen myself and had enough time to stop.

But yes, blondes sometimes are more fun.

Peelie,

If you knew me you'd soon learn otherwise.

I have heard that you can tell who are the new word processing operators by the whiteout on their computer screens. Have you ever seen that?

I worked, and still work as a part time system administrator and part time assistant teacher at the university.

So I probably have seen all the lot - from using phone camera to take screenshots, to one of the staff members locking machine ACCIDENTALLY to the point of not being able to log in - by switching off the network connection (she later said - I finished using the internet, so I clicked it off).

But using the whiteout... well, probably department of digital electronics and computer science is a wrong place too look for such things...;)
