Well, I think we'd need to know the who, what , when, where and why. Is it an MD? Cutter? Some dude of the internet? In a hospital? Office? Alley? What about pain killer? How is it being done?

Cutters do not give out references of the ones that do not go well.
Something to think about

Licensed professionals don't make it a point to volunteer details of their failures, either.

Be careful, I think I'll wait and save the $$$ for a decent DR.

Re: i have found someone to take them
The problem with using a cutter is you don't have any idea what you are getting into. They say they know what they are doing but how do you know for sure if they are really telling the truth?
Then think about their motivation. Are they doing it for the money? I doubt it because there are easier ways to make money than castrating men without the benefit of a surgical suite. So chances are he's into it for the thrill. I would be very careful about letting him anywhere near you with a sharp sharp scalpel.
If anything goes wrong during the surgery you might have to get to the Emergency Room on your own because that last thing a person wants to do after breaking the law is to dial 911.... and practicing surgery without a license is a serious crime.
If anything goes wrong after the surgery.... again you are on your own and quite frankly you could have anything from a life threatening infection (http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Scrotal_Infection)such as gangrene (http://www.surgicalroundsonline.com/iss ... -06_05.asp) or HIV to internal bleeding sutures that come undone suddenly. You may also wind up with a nasty scar or even a keloid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keloid)
In the event that something does go wrong, and you actually make it to the ER you will spend a lot more money getting patched up than you would have spent going to a proper surgeon in the first place. Don't expect your insurance to cover the expense as this was all due to your own idea. Do expect to spend some time talking to mental health professionals.

Dont go alone, and make sure you bring a phone to call 911 when you need. Of course, I suspect from your tone that you are rushing into this with someone who is getting their jollies. Bluntly, you are being foolish. Approach with great care and caution. It may well cost your life.
