Re: elastrator methods
Elastrator bands may be supplied in a variety of colours, mine are either orange or green and both do the job they were designed to do very well.
The ring is also meant to be used with an applicator, a tool with four prongs which stretches the ring. However the scrotum skin should be fed first through the stretched band, and then each testicle in turn encouraged so that when the band is released, the testicles are trapped correctly.
If you are serious about going ahead with the castration, the band should stay in place until the package drops off, usually about 20 days. The pain is unbearable for at least eight hours. If anything, removing the band is even more painful (!) and the recommended method is to use the applicator "in reverse" but is usually far too painful. I had a special surgical clamp with a slit provided so that the ring could be gripped safely then cut first before release. Better than that was two clamps held together, cutting in between whilst held, and then slowly parting. It is fair to say that releasing the band can be the most painful part of all.
Frankly, if you are serious about castration, use the callicrate which is much more powerful, but almost impossible to remove afterwards.

Re: elastrator methods
deadfairy,
Are you just playing with an elastrator? If you attempt to use it to actually castrate yourself, you should know that you will probably end up in the ER. You could be in for great pain, great embarrassment, great depression & possible regret. What's your intent? Hash

Re: elastrator methods
I often see people talk about the colour of the bands, and that orange ones are stronger than the green bands. Are they made of two different materials? If this difference is true then can we put numbers on it?

I've said this in other threads (and I'm not alone in saying it) -- Elastrators are painful and lousy ways to kill testicles in human beings. It hurts very bad. The human scrotum is tough and will not die and rot and fall off easily. And, it leaves an ugly scar that looks like an ugly scar.
That being said, to answer your question:
the various color bands used by different elastrator devices are for different animals. The stronger the band, the larger the animal. Smaller animals or less mature animals have smaller physical parts. Sheep are different than cattle. That's why there are different strength bands.

Re: elastrator methods
If anyone is considering using an elastrator for actual castration, bear in mind what it says on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elastration : "Elastration is normally limited to castrations done during the first few weeks of life, and it cannot be used for species where the scrotum does not have a narrow base, such as pigs or horses." The human scrotum does not have a narrow base, and most would-be eunuchs are more than a few weeks old. If you are happy to be castrated like an animal, methods suitable for pigs are probably best, but consult an expert.

I just started banding and was wondering the same thing. Didn't find a satisfying answer on the internet but can answer your question now since I have both the green and the orange sort. The orange ones are more elastic than the green ones which have far more stiffer rubber. You can notice the difference when open the band on the elastrator in my case the heavy duty one. It is far more difficult with the green band to open the elastrator till the point that the metal clip can be applied to keep the band open. That means that when you apply the band relatively quick on your scrotum the green one will be quite tight already. I can clearly notice the difference in the deeper marks on my skin after the green one is cut. Also banding on your penis with the green one gives within minutes a burning sensation. Whereas with the orange it isn't as painful and you could say it enhances, help the erection.
If you keep banding limited to some minutes with orange ones there is in my view no real danger of harm to either your penis or testicles. It just give a much nicer orgasm. That is my experience anyway. Moderation is important unless you really want to become an eunuch. For me castration play is just a fantasy and I will keep that way. Also banding of my penis I will keep as short as possible. The other day I read a sad story of a guy in a penis enlargement forum who kept the band on for 5 hours. His girlfriend was very happy with him banding. When it was however totally unresponsive and gray of color he started asking questions. In the end unfortunately it had to be removed. He later posted that he was chemically castrated to avoid frustrations.
So there you have it my experiences so far with banding. Hope this information can be of use to others who decide to get into this kinky fetish.

Re: elastrator methods
So i bought an elastrator a while ago, but could never get it to work, could never get my testicles through. Today i finally did it! After shaving i rubbed a bunch of lard onto my balls then managed to push one testicle at a time through. I felt no pain, in fact ir was a very pleasant feeling. i remand banded for nearly 45 minutes. i had planned 30, lol, but it is actually rather difficult to remove the band. i used nail clippers. My balls had started to go blue, but no pain. The band has been off for about an hour now and they are just a little tingly and the color has returned, they are red and i can feel if i pinch them. It was a real rush to do it, probably not the way to do it permanently, a Dr. sounds better! I did use these on lambs many years ago for balls and tails. Can i post the pictures of my banded balls on here? i used the green bands.
