I think we're quite of opposite positions ..., in the result.

What do you think of "sex" as a power that forces us to interact with each other, even if it's painfull, strenuous, and even costly?

Normal and important natural function to provide behaviour that otherwise would be prohibited by other natural functions.

But both needed.

Do the phrases "excessive libido" or "uncontrolable libido" suggest anything? When I was talking with Dr. Spector about my problems, he noted that a good percentage of his practice came from men with this problem, and that included me.

You cannot broach this subject until you are an adult. It reeks of psychological child abuse and suggests physical child abuse.

Our society sterilized people who were considered mentally unfit both as adults and as children and this is decidedly NOT legal. (OR moral, for that part) Little children should not be subjected to a decision about losing their sexuality. It is bad enough what they are subjected to regarding sex as it is.

We can decide that we do not want out sexuality and be castrated or whatever if we are rational adults, (or at least we should be able to) and I agree that the medical profession is NOT taking a realistic position regarding this issue. Children or even young adults should not be brought into this.

Even so, as I said before, you will NEVER, EVER stop the vast majority of people from fucking...



You can only stop yourself if you so choose. If the only way that you can accomplish this is by submitting youself for castration, then so be it! But that decision cannot be forced morally on anybody. Hell, we have even had threads here discussing if it is moral to allow rapists to be castrated.

A bunch of us should go on Jerry Springer and debate this issue. Most of the crazies on his show would be better off neutered, since the vast majority are dog-paddling in the shallow end of the gene pool anyway.

It would serve that shameless panderer of sex right to have this issue thrust in his face!

I believe that you cannot combine the words 'Jerry Springer' and 'morals' in the same sentence. The man has none. Grandpa loves to watch that show; it makes me ill. Father's Day on Springer's show? Now that would be a good one ...

As far as the issue of young adults, teens, kids, what-have-you, being introduced to castration issues, well, I have only this to add:

As some of you who have chatted with me or have known me for a while may know, I spent 6 weeks with a child psychologist when I was 11 or so (35 now). And why, you might ask? Because during a physical examination, after much reading of some pilfered books, I bluntly asked my GP if castration was still performed on boys for various reasons. The books I'd read at that time neglected to mention that the Pop got all huffy about it in 1878 and put a stop to it!

Well, needless to say, all hell broke loose over that one! I honestly think the poor man who got stuck with trying to diagnose my little psyche was afraid of me! Of course I agreed with him and did what he said; I wanted to get AWAY from him.

While the idea of optional puberty and the eunuch lifestyle at younger and younger ages is a nice one, at least in some people's books, it simply isnt' going to happen. Hell, a boy can't even pee outside in his own yard without DFC / Welfare showing up to launch an investigation! We're only inches away from showers/baths in swimwear!

Looking back at all the chaos I caused back then, I can't begin to imagine what would happen if an 11 yo. posed that question today. The damn buzzards are always out there, circling, waiting to try and take children away from their parents. And I'm running out of places to hide the bodies, too.

I never meant to imply that teens should be permanently castrated, merely given anti-androgens to delay puberty or lessen its severity. Castrating teen-agers, though a nice thought, would never fly here.

Haven't there been a few isolated cases of teenage M-to-F transsexuals who want to become female so badly, and know that their testicles are causing their bodies to irreversibly grow more masculine, and end up chopping off their own nuts since they can't/don't know how to get outside help?

I wanted to apoligized for solidifying the whole idea of childhood castration into this thread. Obviously a subject that does not warrant any further discusion. In fact, the comments were a jab at the public school system.

As far as Jerry Springer. That guy makes me sick, too. I can hardly turn on the set and watch a bunch of disgusting, small minded, ill spirited weaklings, sitting out in the audience ganging up on some poor hapless freaks. The show makes me sick.

It would be nice to see a post-op midget kick Jerry ass. That I would pay to see.

Just a follow up. There have been sever cases in the Jounal of Pediatric Psychology ont he issue of tg teens. Many have taken matters 'into thier own hands' no pun intended.

One male had gone as far as to use an electric carving knife on is penis.

But all that aside. If I had had the OPTION to I would have been interested. Alas, they thought I needed t. (didn't hit puberty till my junior year)
