I just started on Siterone

Hi my name is Mike and I am from the UK.

After many months of reading and thinking, I decided to go for chemical castration. I live by myself so no problems there,I am also aware of the dangers of taking these sort of drugs and the side effects.

14th Jan 09 my first day, I took 200mg over the day just to kick start, after that I decided to go for 100mg a day for a week, and there after 50mg day untill the desired results are obtained and down to a level to, or up if required. Any suggestions on this or help would be most welccome, I will up date my records for every one to see, telling of the ups downs and results over the next few months.

It will take a month for you to get a real idea on some of the effects of the drug. Other effects will take months to really be noticed. Strength, energy, weight gain, breast, hair among others do not change over night. It changes over time. The sexual changes will happen somewhat faster but not over night. The depression may not hit right away either. 100mg is a good place to stay at for a while, lets say a few months. Then increase or decrease the dose. Changing the dose every few weeks will not give you any true idea on how the drug is working for you. The key to chemical is the long term effect. The effects you will achieve will not be the same as what another person may have.

Read the posts from me.I have been on Siterone for 15 months, for a long time now on 50mg/day.The effects are as others have said, I have not had a night time erection for 13 months, nor a sexual dream, but I still have sex at least three times a week with my wife. The other physical effects are loss of body hair[not head], loss of energy[very weak compared to before taking siterone] and development of small breasts.I literally got what I asked for, i.e. I get turned on by my wife and no longer have the urge to masterbate every day.

My expericnces ar similar to Gangly. I was on Depo-Provera for about 2-1/2 years and about 6 months ago switched to Androcur/Cyproterone/Siterone at 50mg per day. Neither my wife nor I can tell any difference with Siterone, pretty much kills the sex drive but I am able to have sex, just no climax. Nice to not have drive rule the relationship.

I have been on Siterone 50mg going on three years now, my effects are the same, no erections at all in two years, no thought or need of sex, a little weight gain, small breasts (wife loves to play with them) loss of body hair and some strengh. When my wife wants sex we use a strap on :dong:and she is more then happy with the results.

I'm amazed that you can take 100mg a day for 6 days and feel 'no real effects as yet'. First time I tried cyproterone acetate I only took 50mg daily and felt it's effect within a few minutes of taking the first pill. I had a strange physical feeling come over me, like a combination of going into shock and a relaxation of stress at the same time. It was very weird. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Impotence didn't happen until about the third week, by which time I'd stopped taking the drug because I was having such trouble sleeping due to hot legs and a feeling of the onset of depression. I tried taking it again about a year later only on a much lower dose, but the effects were the same as before and I quit after only a few days. Goodness knows why my reaction was so strong, but I've wondered if my drugs (from inhouse pharmacy) might have been somehow not right or whether for some reason I have a very low tolerance to the drug. I find myself wondering if I should try another brand of the drug. Where did you get yours Mike?

But enough about me. It's very interesting to hear how it's going for you. Please tell us more. Do you still feel no effects whatsoever as yet?

I am sorry but you can not feel the effects like you describe in the time frame. Feeling effects at the end of the first week is about normal. The pills stop the production of testosterone. You have testosterone already made in your blood stream. It takes time for it to lower. Also it take time for the balls to shut down. The effects of siterone (androcur [cyproterone acetate]) will increase in time.

The heat you were experiencing was most likely hot flashes, a side effect. Depression is a real and major problem with castration that will effect everyone. For some it is minor and will pass fast. Other it is very deep and can last for an extended period of time.

Castration is not for most people. That is why it is so very important to do a test drive with chemical castration first to see if you can handle the effects and side effects.

From what I can remember, the first effects where after about five days. I take the tablet at 4.45am , just before going to work and when I got to work and went for a piss, I noticed that my testicles had sucked up into my belly. I also noticed as if my penis was fighting the effects, like a throb. I became very emotional very quickly and cried easily, also had hot flushes every day and night for a few months. It was probably after a month or so that I noticed I no longer had sexual dreams or night time erections and there-after no desire to masterbate.It will happen......SOON !!
